Will Elon Musk Make Twitter Great Again? – Cannabis News, Lifestyle

Will Elon Musk Make Twitter Great Again? As in a fully functioning city square where people are free to express their opinions? Eccentric tech mogul Elon Musk acquired 9.2% of the company’s shares last week. He will also sit on the company’s board of directors. He previously tweeted that he has “high spirited ideas” for Twitter. Tweet: “Twitter’s next board meeting will be highlighted.” Musk also offered to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share, with the reference “420” not escaping many.

Cannabis freedom will make Twitter great again

This isn’t the first time Musk has mentioned “420” in reference to stock prices. On August 7, 2018, Musk tweeted that he was “considering privatizing Tesla for $420.” This tweet angered the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC), which sued the billionaire. The agency said Musk’s use of “$420” was a cannabis reference meant to impress his girlfriend. (It’s worth noting that the SEC failed to prevent the corruption behind the 2008 financial crisis because, among other things, employees spent hours viewing online pornography.)

Elon Musk will make Twitter great again because he’s a cannabis lover. One of his most viral moments in recent years was his appearance at the Joe Rogan Experience. The image of him sharing a joint is now etched into the public consciousness. Like Facebook and Instagram, Twitter has strict rules for promoting cannabis. However, that hasn’t stopped Musk from tweeting about cannabis.

Selling weed has literally gone from a felony to a major business (open during the pandemic) in much of America, and yet many are still in prison. Doesn’t make sense, it’s not right.

Elon Musk is right

According to the American Civil Liberties Union, cannabis arrests account for half of all drug arrests in the United States. 8.2 million people were arrested for cannabis between 2001 and 2010. 88 percent for simple possession.

And it’s not as if legalization is a panacea. While the US MORE Act deals with the deletion of previous records, nothing of the sort was part of Canada’s legalization package. In fact, the penalties are harsher than before. The police have more resources to fight the legacy market. Now, ex-Prohibitionists, from cops to politicians, sit on the boards of Canada’s legal cannabis companies.

Elon Musk will make Twitter great again because he is a free speech absolutist. When social media platforms and search engines (including DuckDuckGo) banned “Russian disinformation” about the Ukrainian invasion, Elon Musk refused to play along. Its Internet service StarLink refused to block Russian servers. After all, without all the information available, how can you spread misinformation? This sensible approach is increasingly being banned in the supposed land of the free.

Musk defies Covid tyranny

But that goes without saying for Elon Musk. In many ways, he’s an old-school liberal, and that’s one of the reasons he’s able to make Twitter great again.

As early as March 2020, he was critical of the Covid 19 panic. He tweeted: “The risk of panic still far exceeds the risk of corona. If we allocate too many medical resources to Corona, it will come at the expense of treating other diseases.” A statement that is now as clear and true as day and night.

When the Alameda County sheriff ordered all nonessential businesses to close, Musk refused, leaving his company Tesla open. He called the lockdowns “fascist” and explained: “Honestly I would describe it as forcibly detaining people in their homes against all their constitutional rights – in my opinion – and wiping out people’s freedoms in a way that is horrible and wrong is, and not why people came to America or built this country.”

Musk sent out other tweets against mandatory lockdowns like “FREE AMERICA NOW.” He also relocated Tesla to Austin, Texas.

In January 2022, Musk tweeted “Canadian Truckers Rule” in response to the Freedom Convoy opposing COVID-19 vaccine mandates and restrictions. He followed the tweet with, “If you scare people enough they will demand freedom be removed. This is the road to tyranny.

Musk also tweeted, “When the Canadian government suppresses peaceful protests, that’s where fascism lies.” On February 17, Musk tweeted a meme comparing Justin Trudeau to Adolf Hitler. But the tweet was later deleted.

Like him or hate him, Elon Musk believes in the principle of free speech. Because of this, many believe he will lift Twitter’s restrictions on cannabis (and cryptocurrency) advertising. If he succeeds in this, among other things, Elon Musk will really make Twitter great again.
