Sticky Genes #23 – Wood Wide Farms, CA, Winter 2024

95 out of 100 points

Price: $55/eighth

Batch Size: 10 lbs

Wood Wide Farms in Mendocino, California, grows small, 10-pound batches of the best of America's highland cannabis for the adult-use market in the Bay Area and beyond. This winter they produced an excellent strain of a strain simply called “#23.” She was bred by 707caseyberns, a third generation breeder from Mendocino County, California, the co-founder of Sticky Genes – a cross of (Lava Cake x Dosidos) x Pluto.

Wood Wide's Series #23 is giving me a lot of marshmallow OG vibes and I love it. The OG and dessert lineage really shines through here. The green flowers are dense, resinous, sparkling and edgy, reminiscent of chem or sour. The nose is maximum marshmallow-sweet jet fuel and very sticky and sharp in the grinder. The flavor continues and the pronounced and long-lasting effect made it a favorite from midday to night.

Up close and personal with #23. (David Downs/Leafly)
