Rohan Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley, plans to open a medical marijuana dispensary in New Jersey. Will this help legalization efforts in the state?

Rohan Marley, son of reggae god and activist Bob Marley, works with the Colorado-based pharmacy. Lightshade plans to open a pharmacy in Montclair, New Jersey, reports northjersey.com. That is natural if your application is accepted. State lawmakers opened the application process last spring and recently announced they would be issuing 15 new pharmacy licenses.

Marley, a New Jersey born and well-known activist in the area, would help with the marketing efforts and hiring at the new pharmacy. Legalization advocates hope Marley’s face will help in the legalization effort. Recreational cannabis has a lot of support in the state, but legalization has basically stalled in New Jersey lawmakers.

In the meantime, the state will put legalization in the ballot box next year. Given that this election will determine whether or not we have to put up with four more years of boss Donald Trump’s setback, it can be assumed that the turnout will be high (no pun intended, despite the Stoner vote sure will reverse in record numbers).

Rohan Marley, of course, was known in public for most of his life. He and his family were cannabis advocates that someone as well known as Marley is one of the faces of legalization is sure to help out.
