Laser Bong Review – The Hitoki Trident V2 – Latest Cannabis News Today
If George Jetson was smoking weed, maybe his bong would look like a Hitoki Trident V2; it really is a laser bong. The Hitoki Trident V2 is an all-in-one device that takes the cannabis experience to another level. It’s an investment. As a medicinal user, cannabis is vital to my health, so sometimes I need to smoke a lot of it. For the sake of both my lungs and my bank account, I can’t afford to be inefficient. I’m always looking for the best high out of my bud.
I recently purchased and thoroughly tested this high-tech bong with fancy flowers. Yep, I’ve taken many for the team…Let me tell you, this thing is unlike anything else I’ve tried. If you are a medical patient or just smoke a lot of weed, there are many reasons to consider this laser bong. With that in mind, here is my honest review of Hitoki’s Trident V2.
laser bong??? What is that?
The Trident V2 is a flower bong that uses a laser to vaporize and burn plant matter. Similar to a vape pen, press the power button five times to turn it on; Then double tap or hold to fire the laser. Located right in the center of the head, its laser focuses its power on your weed. Essentially, you turn on a fierce blast of light and heat, and then poof! There’s smoke and then ash. The effect is similar to that of a vaporizer, but it is stronger.
An advantage of this beauty is the fact that you never have to worry about a lighter. Pop it into a USB-C charger and you’re good for some time. According to the information brochure, a three-hour charge gives you at least two hundred and eighty puffs.
The Effect – A different kind of high…
The Trident V2 gets you ripping in a different way. Just like a Volcano vaporizer creates a unique effect, this device adds a unique twist to the experience. More powerful than vaping and unlike smoking, it’s unlike any other method I’ve tried.
This is not a huge surprise to me as after all not all bud mixes burn the same; Each cannabinoid and terpene has its own optimal combustion temperature. If you’re using a lighter or flashlight, you can’t target THC without burning off terpenes and smaller cannabinoids. The laser temperature does not change and is adjusted to maintain these connections.
Strain Choices – I’ve used strains that I’ve had quite a bit of experience with and it’s seemed like the Trident gets the best out of them. Despite my tolerance, it was almost like using a new, stronger strain or ending a tolerance hiatus.
Temperature, terpenes and taste
When you smoke weed and want a strong hit, you usually have to sacrifice taste. With a laser bong this is not a problem. It offers you three temperature settings to customize your puff.
Mild red – She produces light, flavorful smoke that is quite mild on the lungs.
medium green – The medium temperature setting provides a strong draw that doesn’t affect the flavor.
Hot Blue – If you are one of those people looking for ‘cough to get off’ then this is definitely the hottest setting. According to the device instructions, this temperature is intended for “herbal mixtures enriched with essential oils”. I interpreted these instructions as “flower mixed with concentrates or hash” and verified this through rigorous testing.
Nice thing to note – I noticed that the diameter of the laser changes with each setting. In particular, the laser gets smaller as you increase the temperature (a cool thing when you’re taking a hit).
Success with your laser bong
Hitoki’s Trident V2 is pretty basic, but there are a few things you need to keep in mind to use it successfully. These troubleshooting tips are really all you need to know:
Tip #1 – Pack your bowls tight and use the first hit to get going.
The instructions will tell you to avoid overpacking, but I’ve never had any airflow issues. Once the laser hits the packed shell, the bud will burn; Combustion is not a problem. A slightly filled bowl will go up in smoke on the first hit. If you want to get the best bang for your buds, load up and pack a big bowl.
Tip #2 – Keep the poke tool handy
The Trident V2 comes with a small poke tool that you’ll want to keep handy. It’s small and looks like it belongs in a dentist’s office, which makes it seem easy to replace. If you’re struggling to get a good catch, this is the only tool you’ll ever need. Keep it handy. I was glad I did.
Tip #3 – Partially smoked bowls need to be wrapped
After you’ve taken a puff or two, use the poke tool to compact the ash and remaining bloom. If you don’t, you could end up accidentally throwing away good weed. After the laser burns plant matter, all that remains is ash. If the first puff didn’t make the whole head glow, you’ll need to compact the leftovers. If you don’t do this, the laser can connect to any unburned bud on the sides. Partially smoked heads must be wrapped or they will not burn completely.
cleaning
Like most bongs, the Hitoki Trident doesn’t take long to get dirty (individual experiences may vary based on use…um). However, you will find that instead of cleaning up burnt bits of bud, you will be cleaning resin and fine ash. Some bongs are terrible for sucking a half burned bowl into the water. Thankfully, this device doesn’t do that.
How to clean it:
- It breaks down into five parts. Start by taking everything apart.
- You can use isopropyl alcohol to wipe down the non-electronic parts, but soaking anything would not be advisable.
- For your best smoking experience, always remember to keep your laser clean! Use a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol and dab your laser lens with it.
The trident is made of metal, high quality acrylic, silicone and ceramic. I don’t usually buy incense burners that contain acrylic because I find they never stay fresh. The reality is that I put my devices under heavy use and acrylic bongs are getting very fast. This thing is different. It can be reset and upgraded without being ruined.
The Price – $500 plus tax (C$625 plus tax)
Paying $500 for a smoking device isn’t comfortable for everyone, especially if you have medical expenses. However, sometimes it’s worth it. If it’s an investment in your quality of life, it’s worth considering. In order to know if the award is worth its value, you usually need to ask yourself a few key questions: Does it offer benefits in areas like health or finance? Will it save me from buying certain things like lighters or butane in the future? Is it a high quality device? Does it come with a guarantee? The answers to these questions weigh differently for each of us and focus on the value of the product. Determining when or if it’s within your budget comes after.
Trident Guarantee
To ensure the device’s features are working properly, the Trident V2 comes with a six-month warranty. For an additional $150, you can upgrade the warranty to three years and it comes with a couple of spare shells. If you need to use it for any reason, the company will send you a shipping label to cover the cost.
Marijuana smokers are always looking for a way to get the best for their buds, but sometimes it comes at the expense of their lungs. If you want to invest in a smoking device that is solid, effective and easy on the body, Hitoki’s Trident V2. For all of the above reasons, I would highly recommend this product.
