Is it the end of a marijuana era?
If there’s one thing you can count on, it’s change. But is it the end of the marijuana era? Today, Snoop Dogg announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he was quitting smoking. He is expected to give up all marijuana use. He asked that he and his family be given privacy during this time.
Snoop is a symbol of the cannabis industry and with legalization has also reached a younger audience as mainstream consumers have increased. One of his most notable ventures was his partnership with Martha Stewart – it benefited both and gave the general public a glimpse of the marijuana life that was fun and tasty.

Also this week, Snoop Dogg and his son Cordell Broadus announced that the video game scene will soon be adding another company to their roster. Their new company, Death Row Games, aims to help various developers publish content related to Epic Games’ online game Fortnite through their Fortnite Creative toolset and the Unreal Editor for Fortnite editing app. The company, Broadus said, will likely be based in Los Angeles.
It has been a few weeks since he started a business with his son and lost something that was characteristic of his personality. Snoop Dogg has been the subject of memes, videos, and references about the cannabis industry. It’s the end of a marijuana era.
Apart from his promotions and appearances that earn him income, he also owns a brand. Leafs By Snoop is a cannabis brand owned and produced by Canopy Growth Corporation.

In 2008, he told the story to Esquire, saying, “The first time I got high on marijuana was at one of my uncles’ houses in the ’70s. They had these little cockroaches on the table – these partially smoked marijuana cigarettes – and there was some Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull. I went in there and sipped the Schlitz, and my uncle asked me if I wanted to hit that cockroach. And I said, ‘Yes.’ He put it on the cockroach clip for me and lit it and I hit that motherfucker. I was about eight or nine years old.”
It seems you can still get the slot but can’t smoke with the Dogg.
