Does Matt Rife use weed?
If you’re on social media or love comedy, you’ve probably heard of Matt Rife. He is a hugely successful comedian on TikTok, where he has more than 18 million followers. He has 6 million followers on Instagram and his live performances are popular. He’s currently opening up about his struggles with being “hot” and being a comedian and says that makes it particularly difficult. So one wonders if Matt Rife uses weed with all the pressure that comes with it.
Rife, from Ohio, first became interested in comedy at age 14 when a teacher encouraged him to appear in a talent show. He did the show and began performing professionally a year later at just 15 years old. He has been doing well since then.

As a comedian, Rife is best known for his self-produced comedy specials: Only Fans (2021), Matthew Steven Rife (2023), and Walking Red Flag (2023), as well as his appearance on Bring the Funny in 2019. He has had guest roles in the sketch comedy and improv game show series Wild ‘n Out as well as the comedy television series Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Fresh Off the Boat.
The question really isn’t whether Rife uses grass, but how much! He is known for using weed in his comedy performances, including on stage. The 28-year-old has made a brand out of being good-looking, stoned and funny. During one show, a man from Texas, who may have had a little alcohol, joins Rife during the show. Check it out HERE.
