6 easy steps to rolling the perfect blunt wrap
Let’s start with;
1. Choice of packaging
If you are traveling with a cigar or cigarillo, we advise you not to use old ones. Because they dry out pretty badly. This makes them prone to tearing and breaking while you roll.
Blunt wraps, on the other hand, are readily available wherever you buy rolling papers — you can also choose to get flavored or unflavored options.
2. Prepare the grass
You have two choices when preparing the flower.
Either grind; this will help you achieve a consistent burn. Alternatively, the time-honoured technique says to break the flower – and that will give you a slower burn.
If you’re into blunt wraps, these come ready to roll right out of the pack.
However, the cigarillos and cigars must be emptied, so use a clean razor blade/knife to slit the wrapper. Now empty the tobacco contents and you are good to go.
3. Moisten the packaging
Blunt wrap becomes more flexible and manageable when slightly moistened. The moisture also helps seal the fine/tiny tears that can occur when cutting and emptying a cigarillo or cigar wrapper.
When rolling a blunt for personal use, wetting can be done with saliva.
Dipping the finger in water is more hygienic if it is to be shared.
4. Stuff the wrap
It’s time to fill the wrapt with your flower. Because blunts are larger than joints, you’ll need an average of 1 to 2 grams for a cigarillo-sized blunt. You will likely need more if you are using a wrapper from a larger cigar.
5. Roll your blunt
Here’s the tricky part – the actual rolling.
As with anything else, practice makes you perfect. So don’t get discouraged if you struggle with the first attempts at rolling. Even the pros sometimes struggle with blunts because the wraps are thicker.
Start by rolling the wrap between your index finger and thumb; Now compact the cannabis evenly lightly into the right shape. Fold the foil neatly under itself and wet the inside edge of what’s left.
Keep rolling until the grass is coated; There you have it, your blunt is sealed.
Dead easy.
6. Bake and smoke
Run a lighter along the seam of the blunt wrap. This “bakes” or seals it so it won’t fall apart and can burn evenly.
Please do not hold the lighter too close, as you must not burn the packaging itself.
And your blunt is done!
