Although they used cannabis because fatigue was a result of other illnesses they were suffering from, the plant was shown to actually be effective in helping people find relief from fatigue while helping to boost energy levels right after to increase consumption.

Some experts believe that the euphoria we feel when we exercise actually comes from the endocannabinoid system. In a 2003 study, researchers discovered that anandamide, a molecule from the endocannabinoid system responsible for feelings of happiness, appears at elevated levels after volunteers cycled or ran in a lab. Marijuana targets the same receptors, leading Bryan to believe that cannabis may actually help kickstart the blissful feelings caused by anandamide.

  • Experiment with oral and sublingual routes of administration. Edibles are not recommended for training purposes as their effects last too long and their effect on your training can be unpredictable. Instead, use CBD or THC edibles to aid in recovery after an intense session.

  • Using THC products can impair your motor control and slow your judgment, so it’s not recommended to illuminate yourself with THC before engaging in sports like skydiving, bungee jumping, or biking.
