Nicki Minaj appears to have struck some inconsistencies with a recent tweet regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, following criticism from Dr. Anthony Fauci, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and television stations Joy Reid and Piers Morgan.
What happened: The glamorous rapper landed at the center of the vaccine kerfuffle ahead of the Met Gala on September 13, which Minaj declined to attend because the A-list guests had to be fully vaccinated for the fashionista event and she has not yet received her vaccinations.

“They want you to be vaccinated for the Met,” she tweeted, adding, “If I get vaccinated, it will not be for the Met. It will be as soon as I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that right now. In the meantime, dear ones, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grip your head and face. Not so easy. “
Minaj followed up on that statement with another tweet about a family friend who reportedly had an unexpected side effect from the vaccine.
My cousin in Trinidad isn’t getting the vaccine because his friend got it and became impotent. His testicles swelled up. His friend was weeks away from the wedding, now the girl canceled the wedding. So just pray on it and make sure you are happy with your decision and not get bullied

“My cousin in Trinidad isn’t getting the vaccine because his friend got it and became impotent,” she tweeted. “His testicles are swollen. His friend was weeks away from the wedding, now the girl canceled the wedding. So just pray on it and make sure you are comfortable with your decision and not bullied. “
She then returned to Twitter to insist she doesn’t speak out against vaccines, and responded to a fan message by tweeting, “Many countries don’t let people work without a vaccine. I would definitely recommend that you get the vaccine. They have to feed their families. I am sure that I will also be vaccinated because I have to go on tour etc. “
What happened next: Somehow, Minaj’s tweets were viewed by several celebrities as a rally against vaccinations.

Dr. Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Diseases and senior medical advisor to President Joe Biden, exclaimed Minaj’s tweet about her cousin’s friend and stated during a CNN interview that there was no evidence of the unusual side effect she described while complaining: “She should think twice about spreading information that really have no basis other than a one-off anecdote, and that’s not what science is about. “

Prime Minister Johnson was asked about Minaj’s tweets during a press conference and he drew a blank and confirmed, “I’m not familiar with the works of Nicki Minaj or as familiar with the works of Nicki Minaj as I probably should be” – although he was quick has expressed its support for the effectiveness of COVID vaccines.
but Chris Whitty, UK Government Chief Medical Officer, was more direct, stating, “There are a number of myths flying around, some of which are just plain ridiculous and some of which are clearly just intended to be frightening. That happens to be one of them. That is not true.”
Professor Whitty messing around with the ghastly @NICKIMINAJ (one of the rudest little madams I’ve ever met) isn’t the breaking news I was expecting today – but it’s very welcome. She peddles lies that will cost lives.

Minaj’s tweets also brought criticism from MSNBC’s Reid, who referred to Minaj’s Twitter audience of 22 million followers and complained: as that! You have this platform – it’s a blessing that you have it. People listen to you – and they listen to you more than to me! “
As for Morgan, he also questioned her comments but took it into more personal drubing by calling her “one of the rudest little madams I’ve ever met” and claiming she “refused to say hello during a guest appearance to say to my three young sons “. on America’s Got Talent for insisting on being “too busy.”

What else happened: Minaj was well aware of the criticism that was being leveled against her and returned every volley with the wit and cheek her fans expect and appreciate.
With the British leadership, she playfully took on an Anglophile vibe by joking: “I love him even though I think that was a diss? The accent um! Yassss boo !!! ” She also did a comic book audio recording with a comic book audio recording addressing Johnson as a former Oxford classmate of Margaret Thatcher.

She was less cheerful with Reid and tweeted, “This is what happens when you’re so thirsty to kill another black woman (at the request of the white man) that you didn’t bother reading all of my tweets. “My God, SISTER, do it better” imagine getting your stupid ass a minute after a tweet on TV to spread a false story about a black woman. “
Minaj added to her comments by calling Reid a “lying homophobic raccoon.”
As for Morgan, Minaj countered, “Sir, I’ve never met you. I know … we all look the same. ‘Most rude little madam.’ I like that. Has a special ring. Thank you Pierce. Love the accent. I like to come and chat. Scones. Tea. Clown nose & big red shoes for you. Lmk baby. “
While Minaj heard Dr. Fauci seemed to overlook, yet she made it clear that she never used social media to discourage people from vaccinating, and even offered a tweet asking her Twitter followers which vaccine was the best of the 7,000+ Brought answers.
