Where can you find authentic Chemdog

In the world of modern hybrids and critically acclaimed flavors, it’s so hard to find authentic strains from back then. One of the hardest strains to find is authentic Chemdog. You can find GMO, you can find Motorbreath, you can find strains that are made by Chemdog, but the authentic Chem D, Chem 4 and so on from the 90s? Rare. Damn almost impossible.

Fortunately, Greg Krzanowski, known as “Chemdog” himself, has finally stepped into the legal market after 33 years of growing cannabis behind the scenes, and with him is every single cut of the Chemdog strain he has perfected along the way.

Who and what is Chemdog?

Krzanowski is an absolute legend in the cannabis game. You know him as Chemdog, the man responsible for finding, growing, and naming one of the most influential cannabis strains of all time. The strain itself is a gaseous iteration of random bagseeds of weed that Chem discovered on a Grateful Dead show in the early 90s.

Krzanowski has existed behind the scenes of legality for decades, but that changed in late 2021 when Krzanowski partnered with Massachusetts-based Canna Provisions Group to become its cultivation director and bring his authentic Chemdog genetics to the legal market for the first time at all.

The Canna Provisions Group produces high quality flowers in large quantities. There is currently a large indoor grow facility and another one soon to follow, with two pharmacies, one in Lee, MS and another in Holyoke, MS, where you can buy all of Krzanowski’s history-steeped genetics as well as his new projects that are under the Canna Provisions Smash Hits flower line.

Krzanowski had many offers to get into the legal market – but none of those earlier options were right. Either the companies didn’t suit him culturally, or it was deals with the devil that made it look like he was selling his soul. Krzanowski chose to partner with the Canna Provisions Group because their mission is to become the Supreme of Cannabis, a vision that aligns with Chemdog’s goals.

“I didn’t know if I wanted to enter the market like that. But I met [CEO Eric Williams], and we kind of gelled. We have the same visions as we want to act in the legal market. And they’re local. That was important to me: staying on the ground in Massachusetts, where I founded the Chemdog. “

Where can you find authentic Chemdog?

If you want real Chemdog genetics, it’s best to get them from the person who created them. It’s like you wanted real, undeniable OG Kush from the 90s; would you trust to buy her from a random breeder or would you trust to buy her from Josh D, the multiplier of the strain? Exactly.

For Krzanowski, there are only three locations where you can find real Chemdog flowers in the legal market: Massachusetts, Florida, and Michigan. In Massachusetts, all of Chemdog’s genetics are available from both Canna Provisions locations; in Florida, P Bud (co-creator of the Chemdog strain) grows the strains for a company called One Plant; and in Michigan you can buy real Chemdog from a company called Pincanna. Krzanowski has a license agreement with One Plant and Pincanna.

Right now, you’ll find Chem 4, Chem Sis, Chem D (S1), and Chem 91 – the original Chemdog strains that took cannabis culture by storm. Krzanowski’s favorite tastes like his hybrid offspring, GMO cookies. “Chem D is my favorite, without a doubt. I just love the taste. I used to love the 91, I just think I smoked so much of it that I burned out from it. The Chem D, it gets you so high, it gets you down. That’s what I love about it. “

The future of Chemdog and Smash Hits

In addition to his own varieties, Krzanowski has been working on a new line of flowers called Smash Hits and is grown exclusively by Krzanowski. The Smash Hits line will feature Krzanowski’s original strains along with newer options like Chem D x Lemon Thai, Chem Select and Chem Diesel Dog in both pre-rolls and flower jars. It also contains strains that Chemdog did not breed itself but have mastered growing, such as Zookies, Kush Mints and Wedding Cake. “We’re now chasing stuff to develop about 20 in-house strains that [Smash Hits] can go nuts. 4/20 was the first rollout of it. ”

In the end, Chemdog works to cement its legacy in a game that consistently ignores the pioneers who really laid the foundation for the modern cannabis industry. And when the dust of cannabis legalization has settled, Chemdog just wants to be known as the guy who has always been proud and passionate about bringing people some of their best flowers. “I’ve been with the Art Bud movement pretty much since the beginning. I’ve seen Bud develop. I kind of feel like the Michael Jordan of the weed industry. Berner does this great, I recommend cookies; but there can only be one GOAT, and that’s me. “
