What you should know about hiking with marijuana
Hiking is the most popular summer sport, especially when temperatures are below 38 degrees. It's a simple activity, all you need is good footwear and the right place and you're ready to go. Immersing yourself in nature and seeing waterfalls, meadows, vistas and scenic views is the great reward. It can be even better when you consider the option of adding some cannabis. Here's what you should know about hiking with marijuana.
Hiking while drinking alcohol is never a good idea. Alcohol can impair balance, contribute significantly to dehydration, and impair judgment. While you don't want to get completely stoned while hiking, small, targeted consumption or microdosing can enhance the wonders of nature.

While there are many ways to get high on a hike, vapes and gummies tend to be the easiest. Find a strain that gives you energy and focus, and control the high so you can enjoy the hike. This will free up parts of your brain and make the trip more enjoyable.
Pack all the necessary tools
When you set off, make sure you store all necessary items in discreet and practical places. If you take an e-cigarette or pipe, pack one that you don't mind losing or damaging, as accidents (tripping, falling, etc.) are common when hiking. If you plan to smoke, make sure you have prepared it in advance and stored it in a place that will protect it and contain the smell.

Be discreet
No matter what state you live in, cannabis is still considered a Schedule I drug, meaning you're breaking the law if you're caught with it in a national park. Also, not everyone likes the smell of weed, so be considerate of others and smoke in a secluded and private area.
Pack water and snacks
Water is a basic need when hiking, but if you plan on bringing grass, you may want to bring some extra water. Remember to pack your favorite snacks in case you get cravings and still want to enjoy your hike.

Never travel alone
No matter how much experience you have with marijuana, it's important to be with someone if you plan on using it anywhere other than your home. You don't want to get too high and then not be able to get home. And you never know when something could go wrong.

If you're an inexperienced hiker or trying a new trail, it's even more important to have company. It's also more fun to have someone to talk to along the way, high or not.
Do not throw away rubbish
After eating, snacking and hiking, be sure to take the trash with you and leave the place in better condition than you found it.
