Jushi Holdings Inc. released the results of its first 4/20 Cannabis Insights Poll, which surveyed 1,100 cannabis and non-cannabis users in the United States, ages 21 and older.

Majority of respondents support pro-legalisation: 61.0% of respondents said they are more likely to support pro-legalisation politicians.

When asked “How much do you agree or disagree with the following statement: “Cannabis has an overall positive impact on society,” 59.0% agreed.
Consumption & consumer behavior
67% have bought cannabis from a pharmacy: When asked “are you now or have you ever been a user of legal cannabis bought from a pharmacy”, 42.2% answered “yes, currently”, 24.7% “not”. now, yes in the past”. ‘ and 33.1% answered ‘no’. After this question, cannabis users and non-cannabis users were split into two groups for multiple questions.
The majority tried legal cannabis for the first time in the past year (55.2%).
When cannabis users were asked “what is or was your main reason for using cannabis”, the medical area was cited at 31.4%, followed by stress (22.4%), general well-being (17.5%), recreation (15.9%) and sleep (12.8%). ).

Medicine would be the top driver for non-cannabis users: When non-cannabis users were asked “what is the main reason you want to try a cannabis product”, 26.1% chose medicine, followed by stress with 23.4% saying what came neck and neck with those who said they would not be interested in trying a cannabis product (23.1%). 10.7% responded that they would try wellness, 8.5% sleep and 8.2% recreational use.

Most cannabis users use 1 to 2 days per week: 30.7% of cannabis users reported using cannabis 1 to 2 days per week; 28.1% reported every day; 23.6% stated 3 to 4 days a week; and 17.5% reported 5 to 6 days per week.

Most use in the evening: When asked “what times are you most likely to use cannabis”, the majority of respondents answered “in the evening” (28.8%), closely followed by 26.9% who answered “whenever I need it” . 18.8% said “anytime”, while 18.5% said “weekends” and 7.1% said “weekdays”.
Consumers need more education: When participants were asked, “How familiar are you with different cannabis flower varieties?” 59.7% reported being “newbie” or having “little knowledge” to “some knowledge”.
