Voices of Cannabis: Trez Wilson

Trez is the CEO of OG Cultivation

“Having all these things that have been working against us to get where we are, using them to get where they are, and using them as fuel so this is the shining light for it, who we are and what we do. It has evolved, our awareness of who we are and what we do well beyond just growing weed and a cannabis brand.”

OG Cultivation, which Trez Wilson co-founded with his business partner and older brother, has grown from being one of the only black-owned cannabis cultivation companies in Colorado to a multi-purpose company with a broader reach. The company, which has 2.5 hectares of land on which to grow its cannabis and indoor cultivation facilities, also sells cannabis products and has its own line of merchandise and apparel called OG for Life.

Wilson first entered the legal cannabis space in 2010 when he opened a retail store in Colorado with his sister. In 2018 he decided to acquire a cultivation license, bought land with his brother and began raising capital and gaining momentum with the OG brand.
