UN drug treaties are damned

Medical cannabis from Jamaica Lumir is easily available in German pharmacies. August 19th was the official launch date of the product on the German medical cannabis market.

Cantourage, a Germany-based company, has agreed with the Australian company Cannim to import Jamaican flower products to Germany and also to sell the drug to pharmacies and licensed cannabis pharmacies in the country.

The undersupply of medical marijuana in Germany

Since medical marijuana was legalized in 2017, Germany has become a top contender for the fastest growing medical cannabis market across Europe.

However, due to limited cannabis cultivation within Germany, the industry was unable to meet local demand for medical marijuana. Because of this, the country relied on a steady stream of medical marijuana imports from trusted sources around the world. This means that the steadily increasing demand can be met at affordable prices for patients.

Jamaica, on the other hand, is a popular country for its cannabis products and the widespread acceptance of marijuana and marijuana-derived products by local residents. The government has also benefited from cannabis’ historical roots in the Caribbean country.

Schetter is convinced that Cantourage will quickly overcome all foreseeable hurdles associated with the sale of medical cannabis in all European countries. Stuart Marsh, Cannim’s chief commercial officer, also made a statement. He made sure that Lumir complied with the many regulations for medical marijuana patients in Germany.

Marsh said the company will be able to supply medical marijuana drugs year-round as the company owns a cannabis plantation at a cost of over 500 acres. According to reports, the farm has more than six cultivation cycles each year.

Marsh added that Germany is a new challenge for Cannim and the brand is honored to be able to sell its flower products in Europe. Marsh concluded that the new partnership with Cantourage aims to offer new therapy alternatives for Germans with various diseases.

The product line

The Lumir flowers are given to licensed pharmacies within Germany. The team will also provide doctors and patients with reliable access to the potent Jamaican marijuana drug.

It’s too early to say if Cannim will offer its three unique 30ml tincture mixes.

Bottom line

Cannim’s Lumir flower product is the second medical cannabis product to enter the European medical marijuana industry. Both products are managed through the fast track access platform. This platform currently offers over 14 varieties from around the world since its launch in June.
