
Traveling to Disney? What you should know about the reopened park
No matter how old you get, there is always something to do at a Disney theme park. Whether you are into the beautiful rides and decorations or the downtown Disney Center where you can drink and watch lots of tourists, the park has something for everyone. Now that we have COVID-19 to deal with, these parks are also a great option as they are mostly outdoors.
Here’s what you should know about COVID-19 measures in Disney parks:

Like most companies, Disney theme parks had a difficult year. The place had to be closed for most of 2020. On April 30th of that year, Disneyland California reopened with limited capacity, and then on June 15th, the park welcomed visitors from other states.

Unlike in the past, where tickets could be bought in person, tickets now have to be bought online. In most areas of the park, face mask regulations for fully vaccinated guests are now optional.
Parking capacity has returned to normal, but restaurants and queues have added some restrictions to prevent overcrowding.

While most of the activities are functioning normally, the parades are still on hold in hopes of preventing people from gathering. Meet and greets with Disney characters have been replaced by socially distant character processions. Services such as FASTPASS and Disney MaxPass are suspended.

After the year of closure, Disney made a lot of things new. Following the release of the Jungle Cruise movie, California’s park renewed the Jungle Cruise ride, which featured controversial depictions of indigenous peoples. Florida Park will end the Jungle Cruise ride sometime this summer.

In Florida, Disney World has just opened its Avengers Campus, a new park based on the Marvel films. To mark the 50th anniversary of Disney World Parks, Walt Disney World Resort will launch “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” a party that begins October 1, 2021 and lasts 18 months.
