There have been some excellent articles recently on the 50th Anniversary of Richard Nixon’s Declaration on the “War on Drugs”. Apart from the fact that, as I mentioned earlier, the drug war is really over 100 years old.

This small “discrepancy” of 50 years shows how serious our problem is. The aphorism about failure to learn from history is all the more relevant when we don’t even know when the story began.

Can we just blame Nixon and then forget about Obama and Biden, the Bushes and Clinton?

Donald Trump made libertarian noises before running for president, but he appointed Prohibitionist Attorneys General based on his assumption that they would be his personal Consiglioeres.

Biden is a very easily repentant drug warrior who can’t even admit he was wrong about marijuana, let alone the rest of the drug war.

“While the United States represents about 4.4 percent of the world’s population, it houses about 22 percent of the world’s prisoners. Corrections (including jails, jails, parole, and probation) cost around $ 74 billion in 2007, according to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics.

I mainly focused on marijuana, but the rest of the drug war raged on.

It is just common sense that anyone who has a drug problem needs to start by realizing that problem. This also applies to countries, cultures and professions. Denial is the first problem to face, but don’t mention the drug war.
