Things to Avoid When Smoking Marijuana
Smoking marijuana is the most popular and readily available way to consume weed, especially for newbies. Joints, bowls, and bongs are the traditional, old-school method advocated by believers, experts, and sometimes newbies. Still, you’ll be surprised at the amount of misinformation that people believe, even those who have used weed for a long period of time.
To avoid bad advice and have a great time, here is a list of things to avoid when smoking marijuana for the first time. Follow these instructions and it may help you achieve the high you are aiming for.
Smoking a joint as if it were a cigar
You’re not supposed to smoke a joint like a mafia boss by swirling the smoke in your mouth. In order for the medication to work on you, you must inhale the smoke into your lungs. There is also a widespread belief that the longer you hold the smoke in, the stronger the effect. That’s not true, you’ll just feel dizzy because you’re depriving your brain of oxygen.

Marijuana users tell different stories when it comes to getting high for the first time, with many of them getting too high and becoming paranoid. That’s because it’s difficult to know what to feel when you smoke weed for the first time, which leads people to overdo it to ensure they get high. Take it slow and let the THC do its work.
Now I know how to use the carbohydrates
Your carburetor is the small hole in the side of your bong or pipe. You should cover it when lighting it to allow smoke to accumulate, then release it so you can inhale it. Carbohydrates are very misunderstood and can be the reason why some people don’t get the most out of their cannabis.
While you don’t need to be an expert on strains and their components, it’s important to know the basics of the two most common types of marijuana. Indicas are gentler and have a physical effect on your body, leaving you relaxed and ready to unwind on the couch. Sativas are more intense and activate your brain, making them great partners for parties and other active activities. For newbies who are afraid of a bad high, indicas are a safer choice as they offer less risk of becoming paranoid.

When you find yourself freaking out, it’s important to remember that if you’ve just smoked marijuana, you don’t have anything to worry about. The fear and paranoia will pass and in an hour (at most) you will feel much better. In the meantime, distract yourself with your pet, take a nap, watch a show or some cute cat videos and you’ll be fine.
It’s also helpful for newbies to smoke with people they trust, someone who can calm them down if they get too nervous.
Pack the bowl incorrectly
If you chop up your weed with scissors and then carelessly stuff the pieces into your bowl, the marijuana gods will give you the stink eye. Be sure to use a grinder or be very thorough when cutting, preferably with your fingers. Put the right amount of weed in your bowl or joint and give the particles some breathing room. The bowl or joint should fit tightly, but air should be able to circulate. Tear, cut or grind: How do you chop up your flowers?
Use a bad lighter

The fumes from matches and heavy butane lighters affect the quality and taste of your marijuana and also harm your lungs. So try to buy a reliable and simple lighter. This small factor will greatly improve your experience.
Light the bowl
At some point we all set fire to the head, setting fire to the middle and accidentally burning the whole lot of weed. While there won’t be a real fire, lighting it right in the middle will ruin the head for other people and distort the flavor of marijuana. You should round your head and light the corners so everyone can get to it and your weed lasts longer.

Coughing is a good thing
There’s a mystery surrounding coughing and smoking weed. Some claim that coughing indicates that you are smoking high-quality marijuana or that you are starting to get high. None of this is true. Coughing is related to the heat of the smoke you inhale and the irritation it causes to your throat and lungs. Here’s how to stop smoking marijuana from making you cough so badly.
Eating raw marijuana

People will do anything to get a good high, especially if they are uninformed and only concerned with marijuana. Don’t be that person who eats raw marijuana leaves. This achieves nothing; Cannabis must be heated to release its THC.
