These solvent-free CBN capsules put THC on the back seat
Trulieve and Blue River are bringing a better CBN capsule to Florida pharmacies.
CBN has a growing reputation as a natural way to unwind at the end of the day – but it doesn’t work that way alone. In a cannabis plant, CBN is just one of many botanicals that work together to produce a variety of effects. It is this collaboration between cannabinoids, also known as the entourage effect, that creates the relaxing properties of CBN.
Renowned cannabis producers Trulieve and Blue River have teamed up to crack the CBN code in a convenient capsule. Trulieve CBN capsules are designed for medical patients, especially those who are sensitive to THC. The two used solvent-free CBN technology to create the purest product, while their medical cannabis experts carefully formulated it for the most pleasurable, effective experience. The finished product is already on the shelf in Trulieve pharmacies in Florida.

What is CBN?
If you’ve smoked cannabis that sat for a while, you probably already have a good amount of CBN. THC, the cannabinoid best known for the euphoric high often associated with cannabis, gradually turns into CBN when exposed to light or air. CBN is less psychoactive, making it a popular choice among people who are sensitive to THC, although high levels of THC can help CBN make more “high”. Because it works with different receptors in the brain than THC or CBD, it has the potential to have therapeutic effects in people with higher tolerances.

Anecdotally, some cannabis users claimed that older herbs that had aged long made them drowsy, so its effects were studied as early as the 1970s. A smaller study by the famous cannabis scientist Dr. Ethan Russo found that CBN made participants no more sleepy than a placebo. However, the combination of CBN and THC made participants feel more sleepy than the CBN alone.
CBN isn’t as well researched as CBD or THC, especially in humans. But it holds great promise for possible antibiotic, neuroprotective, pain relieving, appetite stimulating, and anti-inflammatory properties.
Fun Facts About CBN: It was the first cannabinoid to be fully isolated by European researchers back in the 1890s, possibly because they were dealing with ancient material or treating it harshly during extraction. It just hasn’t gotten the same pizzazz as THC or CBD for a long time.
Relief with less fun deals
CBN needs THC to boost its effects, but finding the right formula can be a challenge if you’re not looking for euphoria, especially since CBN and THC can get a stronger high from each other. Trulieve capsules have just enough THC to activate CBN – each capsule contains 5 milligrams of CBN and less than a milligram of THC – which reduces the chance of getting a little too stoned. Medical cannabis users shouldn’t have to experience a high (at least one that they don’t want) in order to obtain strong relief from cannabis. As with all cannabis-based relief options, the effects can vary from patient to patient, so speak to your doctor and start slowly.

Sometimes the solvents used to isolate cannabinoids for products like pills, tinctures, oils, and extracts can leave traces of chemicals behind. Blue River avoids them all along with a patent pending process developed by founder Tony Verzura. Its bespoke system accelerates the natural aging process so that THCa migrates from THC to CBN much faster.
