These people are having the most sex, according to a new survey
Sex is a topic we love to discuss. It’s something that has evolved over the years, with new generations being more open to discussing it, making it less taboo. However, this does not mean that young people are having sex more, nor does it mean that people of different ages are having sex more than in previous years.
A new survey shows that the group currently having sex the most is fairly specific: divorced or separated people who live apart from their current sex partners.

These results were collected by researchers in Germany who collected data from over 3,000 people. Respondents, between the ages of 32 and 46, answered a detailed series of questions about their sex life and relationships.
Seven groups were measured, including those mentioned above, with results showing that a person needed to have a partner to rank high on the list. The catch? Once that person lives with their partner, the amount of sex they have is drastically reduced.
The groups and the order in which they have sex are as follows:
- Divorced/separated people living apart from their new partners
- unmarried people living apart from their partner
- divorced/separated people living with their partner
- unmarried people living with their partner
- married people
- divorced singles
- unmarried single people

Other interesting findings from the study were that frequency of sex influences people’s satisfaction with their sex life regardless of gender, and that married people tend to have less sex than most divorced people, just more sex than single people.
