From haunted houses to costumed parades, all types of Halloween events can be enhanced with cannabis. Marijuana is one way to take your spooky or weird Halloween adventure to the next level, but there are definitely some precautions you should take before embarking on your spooky party.
While Halloween and marijuana might seem like a perfect combination for the cannabis enthusiast, it’s important to remember that there are right and wrong ways to add weed to the celebration. To ensure you and those around you have a safe and memorable Halloween weekend, we’ve put together some important do’s and don’ts for you.

Embrace the Halloween snacks and treats
Halloween isn’t exactly a gourmet holiday like Thanksgiving or Christmas. However, it may be the best day of the year for cravings. From crunchy rice treats and candied apples to mounds of bite-sized candy bars and candies, Halloween is a ravenous paradise.

Arrange safe transportation to your destinations
According to the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTA), on Halloween, “126 people were killed in drunk-driving accidents in the years 2015-2019.” This not only sheds light on the fact that Halloween is a dangerous day to be on the road, but also means that that the police presence will be fully effective.

Know the marijuana possession laws in your area
Before you embark on your Halloween cannabis journey, make sure you understand your state’s marijuana possession laws. Just because you bought the marijuana legally doesn’t mean you can take it anywhere.
