Paloma

This is a classic, simple cocktail that will make you happy. The origin is somewhat unclear, but is generally attributed to Javier Delgado Corona, the owner of the oldest bar in Jalisco – La Capilla. More importantly, you will simply be grateful for this drink and its refreshing feeling.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice, plus wedges for garnish
  • 2 ounces sparkling water
  • ½ ounce Lime juice
  • ¼ ounce Agave syrup or simple syrup, or to taste
  • Coarse sea salt, for the rim of the glasses
  • Ice

Create

  • Salt the rim of the glass by rubbing a slice of grapefruit over the rim and dipping it onto a small plate of salt.

  • Mix tequila, grapefruit juice, mineral water, lime juice and agave syrup in the glass. Fill the rest of the glass with ice. Adjust sweetness to taste. Garnish with grapefruit wedge.

Mexican mule

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ oz. Silver or Reposado tequila
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1 piece of pineapple
  • 4 oz. Ginger ale

Create

  1. Combine the lime wedge and pineapple (if using) in the bottom of a chilled glass or Moscow Mule mug
  2. Mix the lime with the pineapple
  3. Add tequila and stir
  4. Add ice and top with the ginger beer

  • Tequila Reposado or White
  • Mexican hot sauce
  • Celery salt

  • Add grenadine and garnish
