Ten Reasons to Ignore the FDA and Try CBD – Cannabis | weed | marijuana
There are at least ten reasons to ignore the FDA and give CBD a try.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration released a study this week suggesting that long-term use of CBD leads to liver toxicity and reproductive problems in both men and women.
They based their conclusions on animal studies.
But what about human studies demonstrating the benefits of CBD? Here are ten reasons to ignore the biased FDA and give non-toxic CBD a try.
Ten Reasons to Ignore the FDA and Try CBD
10. CBD can solve the opioid crisis
A study published in 2019 found that CBD reduced cravings and anxiety associated with heroin withdrawal. This study was a 42-person, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study.
Do you want to solve the opioid crisis? Instead of handing out weak opioids that addicts sell in exchange for fentanyl, hand out CBD.
Make CBD so plentiful that even the price of an 8mg capsule drops to 25 cents.
9. CBD blocks Covid
We’ve covered this before. While it’s not conclusive, it’s definitely promising. No wonder the FDA wants the public to associate “CBD” with “toxicity.” Those in power benefited immensely from the Covid hysteria.
The last thing they want is a non-toxic, all-natural remedy—another reason to ignore the FDA and give CBD a try.
8. CBD Reduces Anxiety
The cottage industry in mental health generates billions every year. Pharma distributes a cocktail of anti-anxiety drugs that doctors prescribe like candy, all with side effects that are sometimes worse than anxiety.
But again, we can ignore the FDA and try CBD knowing the science is on our side. A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study showed how CBD reduces social anxiety disorder, the most common form of anxiety.
Of course, as with the heroin withdrawal example, participants took up to 400mg of CBD daily. To make these doses affordable, governments everywhere need to open up their cannabis markets and allow for unrestricted trade.
No more licenses or special regulations. Cannabis is a vegetable that belongs at the local farmer’s market.

7. CBD protects the immune system
Using data from animal studies, the FDA concludes that CBD damages the immune system, making it less effective at fighting cancer.
No other study finds this.
Most studies conclude that CBD stimulates the absorption of hormones that support the immune system. In particular, CBD increases the activity of the TRPV2 receptors, making communication between cells more effective.
(Sidebar: Isn’t it interesting that ivermectin has been dubbed a “horseworm drug” by the corporate press even though it has had some success in fighting Covid in humans? But to prove CBD is toxic, the FDA has to cite every study Discard Humans relies solely on data from animals).
6. CBD has an anti-inflammatory effect
One of the key benefits of CBD is its anti-inflammatory effects. It is also one of its most famous effects. Inflammation is, of course, a response of the immune system. Again, the FDA’s claims are questionable.
Chronic inflammation can weaken the immune system, which is why CBD is sought after by many people with autoimmune issues.
5. CBD reduces oxidative stress
The reduction in oxidative stress is related to CBD’s role in reducing inflammation. But it’s worth noting since the FDA study suggests otherwise.
Of course, this 2020 literature review found that “Multidirectional biological effects have been demonstrated in various preclinical models, including the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of cannabidiol.”
And to be fair to the FDA, this review also found that “CBD may impair the hepatic metabolism of some drugs by inactivating cytochrome P450 3A and P450 2C.”
In other words, if you’re taking any medications that are metabolized in the liver, consult a doctor before mixing in CBD.

4. CBD relieves pain
Ignore the FDA and try CBD. If you suffer from chronic pain, this is the best choice. Even if the FDA’s study is 100% correct and long-term use of CBD is toxic, this could still be a worthwhile compromise.
Everyone knows that alcohol damages the liver. But that doesn’t stop people from drinking alcohol.
If it’s true that CBD damages your liver in the long run, isn’t that a reasonable compromise for people suffering from chronic pain?
Studies show that a THC-CBD combo works best.
So who is the FDA telling suffering Americans not to try this natural herb because animal studies show it might, potentially, just possibly lead to liver toxicity in the long term?
Whether the pain is chronic or acute, I will take my chances.
3. CBD reduces seizures
If you have a child with epilepsy, are you concerned that the liver could be damaged in the long term? Or are you looking for an immediate solution?
CBD’s ability to reduce and even eliminate seizures in children justifies its legalization and mainstream acceptance. Point.
Of course, the FDA has already approved a drug derived from CBD. Epidiolex is a patented CBD-derived drug used to treat epilepsy.
In other words, the cannabis plant alone is not enough. We need capital-intensive pharmaceutical companies to extract the cannabinoids and package them into a manufactured drug that the FDA can approve.
Only then will these concerns about liver toxicity go away.
2. CBD helps with sleep
More than a third of American adults don’t get enough sleep, according to the CDC. CBD helps with that. So, once again, we can ignore the FDA and try CBD.
Even if the FDA’s claims are all true (a slim possibility, but let’s put a stop to them), liver toxicity will be the least of your worries as you age.
If you’ve suffered from chronic insomnia for the past few decades, you shouldn’t be disconcerted by the same long-term effects as alcohol consumption.
Sleep is vital to maintaining good health.
Ten Reasons to Ignore the FDA and Try CBD
1. The FDA is biased and useless
Who regulates the regulators?
The number one reason Americans can (and should) ignore the FDA and try CBD is that the FDA is biased.
And since over half of their funding comes from the drug companies they’re supposed to regulate, the FDA is useless, too.
The FDA has long supported the designation of cannabis as a Schedule 1 drug, meaning it has no therapeutic or medicinal value.
How far do you have to stick your head up your ass to believe that kind of nonsense?
What about FDA enforcement? Certainly that part of the bureaucracy not funded by big drug companies protects Americans from fraudulent claims made by drug companies.
No, the FDA has not addressed the lies, fraud and propaganda surrounding the Covid vaccines.
But are you suggesting that cannabis helps with cancer? Or, according to scientific research, that it has the potential to block Covid infections?
The FDA will only have time and attention for you. The FDA has only one purpose: gatekeeping.
Protect the drug cartel and make sure Americans don’t become too independent and sane. Health comes from a patented pill, not your diet or natural botanicals.
Like its northern neighbor Canada, U.S. health officials are increasingly funded by the people tasked with regulating them.
In what world does that make sense? The FDA is not a private accreditation company. Cannabis companies cannot ignore them.
But Americans can ignore the FDA and try CBD. And it’s high time they did. It’s time to curb the excess bureaucracy that is stifling the once free and prosperous union.
