You can legally buy a joint in Canada, but there are few places where you can smoke it. At first glance, the topic may seem like a low priority, when in reality it is far from important. Smoking weed indoors is a luxury for some and a necessity for others. Clean air statutes, shift councils and landlords, medical rights and privacy, smoking a joint is not an easy matter. Fortunately, there is a solution, but unfortunately it is not a legal one. Cannabis smoking lounges exist in the gray market because they are essentially safe places to eat. The alternatives are few, but if you want to smoke weed, you should know them better.

Smoke that inside outside?
If you’re lucky, you have the perfect situation and can smoke weed at home. If not, hopefully you can smoke it outside, or at least roll a joint out of the blue somewhere. It’s not the biggest thing for recreational users, but it is for medical patients.

For example, people with Parkinson’s disease experience muscle spasms and tremors. It’s hard to light a joint when your hands are shaking, let alone outside on a windy day. If you are a cannabis enthusiast you understand the complexities all too well. Smoking weed inside is a very different experience than being outside. If you are lucky enough to have one in your town, you can pop into a cannabis smoking lounge.
Safe and social
Not only are lounges a safe place for cannabis use, they also provide a social atmosphere for like-minded people to meet and meet. For medical cannabis patients, they can be a lifesaver; it is a physically tolerable social environment because it is possible to take medication when necessary.

Essentially a safe place to consume, cannabis lounges are ideal for people who:
- Don’t want to smoke weed in public.
- Are concerned about attracting the wrong attention from the smell of smoke. This is especially important for seniors or those who are vulnerable and unable to hold off a potential attacker. For a predator, a stoned senior smoking in a back alley is a very easy target.
- You have to consume, but you cannot get home in time. For example, if someone with epilepsy feels an impending seizure, they must take their medication right away. Cannabis lounges offer a quick private stop, but on top of that, they add an element of security. If an epileptic patient is on medication and still has a seizure, it is better to treat them in a lounge than in a back alley.
