Here’s how to enjoy legal weed in your hotel room

Summer is in full swing and many people want to enjoy a vacation and relax. If you like relaxing with some weed on your vacation, you might be wondering if you can smoke in your hotel room? You may also plan to travel with weed. In that case, you might like this article: Tips for traveling with marijuana.

We need to consider two factors to determine if you can smoke marijuana in a hotel room. First, is the hotel located in a state that has legalized recreational cannabis use? Second, does the hotel allow smoking in the rooms?

Is it legal to smoke weed in my hotel room?

In the US, there are many states in the West and Northeast where marijuana is legal, such as California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, Maine, Massachusetts, etc. However, it is still illegal in much of the South and Midwest .

If you are in a state where recreational marijuana is legal, then possession of personal amounts of marijuana is not a crime as long as you are over the age of 21. Personal amounts vary from state to state, but the lowest is half an ounce. The laws that legalize possession of marijuana also allow you to smoke weed in a private place, but not in public.

A hotel room is considered private property, so you are not violating state laws against public use by smoking marijuana in the privacy of a hotel room.

Smoking a joint in states that allow recreational cannabis use is the same as smoking a cigarette in a hotel room, so you won’t get arrested.

Are hotels allowed to smoke in hotel rooms?

While some hotels allow smoking cannabis, many hotels have no smoking policies.

As long as you rent the right kind of hotel room and smoke discreetly, you should be fine.

You should get a smoking room or one with a private balcony. This way you can legally smoke on the balcony or smoke in the room.

Avoid hotels with no-smoking policies and stick to a non-smoking room.

Going outside and finding a hidden place to smoke (breaking smoking marijuana in public laws) will take away the pleasure of smoking and make you nervous. You risk a fine or worse if caught.

How about a vaporizer in my hotel room?

Most hotels that have non-smoking rooms do not allow vaping in those rooms either. While it’s less likely to be detected, you may need to look at it the same way you do smoking. Keep in mind that vapes can still set off some smoke alarms, so make sure you keep your smoke away from those.

When looking for a cannabis-friendly hotel, be sure to look for rooms with smoking or balconies in the room description. There is a growing number of cannabis-friendly hotels and resorts.

I want a weed friendly hotel stay?

If possible, try to find a 420-friendly vacation rental.
