Seth Rogen’s “Highly Creative Retreat” Airbnb begins booking
Would you like to raise your creativity level… a little higher? Bookable starting this week, Seth Rogen has teamed up with Airbnb to unveil A Highly Creative Retreat, offering a unique Los Angeles getaway complete with pottery activities.
The retreat features a pottery studio featuring Rogen’s own handcrafted ceramics, a display of his cannabis and lifestyle company Houseplant’s unique homewares, as well as mid-century furniture and “expansive city views.”
The Airbnb is probably a lot cheaper than you think: Rogen will be offering three one-night stays for two guests each on February 15, 16, and 17 for just $42 — one decimal place away from 420 — with some caveats. US citizens can book a night’s accommodation at Rogen’s Airbnb from February 7, but book now as it’s doubtful open slots will last.
“I don’t know what’s more houseplant atmosphere than a creative retreat in a mid-century Airbnb filled with our housewares, a potter’s wheel, and an incredible view of LA,” Rogen said. “Add me and you will have the ultimate experience.”
According to the listing and his Twitter account, Rogen will be there to greet people and even make pottery together.
“I’m partnering with Airbnb so you (or someone else) can hang out with me and spend the night in a house inspired by my company,” Rogen recently tweeted.
Guests are offered the following activities:
- Get glazed at the pottery studio and get tips from Rogen himself!
- View a selection of Rogen’s own ceramic masterpieces proudly displayed in the mid-century modern home.
- Relax and bask in the sunshine of the room’s burgeoning courtyard.
- Tune in to experience a collection of Houseplant record sets with specially curated track listings by Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg inspired by different cannabis strains. Guests will receive an exclusive first listen to their new Vinyl Box Set Vol. 2.
- Satisfy your cravings with a fully stocked refrigerator for after-hours snacks.
Airbnb plans to get involved with Rogen’s charity efforts, including his nonprofit organization Hilarity for Charity, which focuses on helping people with Alzheimer’s.
“To celebrate this combined effort, Airbnb will make a one-time donation to Hilarity for Charity, a national nonprofit dedicated to caring for families affected by Alzheimer’s disease, the next generation of Alzheimer’s -Encourage advocates and provide leadership in brain health research and education,” Airbnb wrote.
In 2021, Rogen launched Houseplant, his cannabis and lifestyle company, in the United States. However, the cannabis brand’s web traffic was so high that the website crashed. Houseplant was founded by Rogen and his childhood friend Evan Goldberg along with Michael Mohr, James Weaver and Alex McAtee.
Yahoo! However, news is reporting that Airbnb (cough, cough) doesn’t allow cannabis on the premises of listings. However, the listing is filled with goods from houseplant. Houseplant also sells luxury essentials with a mid-century modern spin.
Seth Rogen recently invited Architectural Digest to present a tour of the interior design and operations of Houseplant’s HQ. Houseplant’s headquarters are in a 1918 bungalow in Los Angeles. Architectural Digest describes it as “mid-century inspired furniture creates a cozy yet streamlined aesthetic.”
People living in the US can book stays at airbnb.com/houseplant. Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from Los Angeles, California and comply with applicable COVID-19 rules and guidelines.
