Rosenberg’s Cannabis Act Review – Cannabis | weed | marijuana

Morris Rosenberg’s cannabis law review is likely to fail.

Canada’s cannabis law is currently under review by an “expert panel” under the legislation. The idea was that after three years the government would go back to the cannabis legalization file and evaluate it.

Of course it’s been more than four years. And cannabis producers need immediate relief. No more bureaucratic task force that creates a lot of work.

Morris Rosenberg, an attorney and longtime professional bureaucrat, leads the Cannabis Act Review. Many in the Canadian cannabis business community have expressed support for Rosenberg.

But the former president and CEO of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation is another of the establishment’s henchmen. In the 2021 Canadian election, foreign interference is for you.

The Rosenberg report was full of lies. No cannabis connoisseur in Canada should trust that legal review of cannabis law will be any better.

Chinese communist interference in Canadian elections

For those who don’t know, Canada is experiencing a scandal over China’s election interference. Similar to Donald Trump and the Russians. Except this time based on facts.

But while the Trump administration hired a former FBI director to lead a special investigation (with subpoena powers), the Trudeau administration hired former Governor General David Johnston — a friend and associate of the Trudeau family — to do the job.

Unsurprisingly, Johnston, the “Special Rapporteur,” said there was no need for a public inquiry (with subpoena powers). Instead, he’ll conduct a few quick public hearings himself and wrap things up by October.

Overall, his report concluded that there may have been foreign interference in Canada’s elections. But Justin Trudeau didn’t really know about it. And the Secret Service whistleblowers and investigative journalists who broke the story were wrong.

The report gives no details on how or why they got it wrong.

What does this have to do with Rosenberg’s Cannabis Act Review, you might ask? This is the second report of foreign interference in Canada’s recent election. Our man Morris Rosenberg wrote the first.

And if he approaches cannabis, as he did in his foreign interference report, then cannabis is in deep trouble in Canada.

Will Rosenberg’s Cannabis Act Review Look Like the Rosenberg Report?

Rosenberg's Cannabis Act Review

Our “panel lead expert,” Morris Rosenberg, has written a report on foreign interference in the 2021 Canadian election.

He claims he has spoken to all political parties. He did not do it. Although Conservative Party candidates have felt the brunt of China’s Liberal election campaign, Rosenberg felt it was unnecessary to speak to even a single Conservative.

But he claims he did in the report.

As former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole wrote on his substack:

None of the key players in the conservative 2021 election campaign were interviewed for the Rosenberg report. And the report was released defensively by the government in the wake of damning news reports [of Chinese electoral interference].

O’Toole points to Rosenberg’s close relationship with the Trudeau Foundation. It is clear that the Rosenberg Report is not a credible document and Rosenberg himself is not an “impartial” official.

Along with everyone connected to Trudeau’s criminal government, he embodies the idea that if you want to reject laissez-faire on the grounds that “we can’t trust the people,” you must also completely reject state actors like Morris Rosenberg.

The FBI witch hunt for Donald Trump has been relentless. Imagine if his relationship with Russia was like Justin Trudeau’s relationship with China.

Imagine Trump appointing the head of the Russo-American Economic Council to a senior government position. And then fire all of Obama’s employees and replace them with pro-Russian bureaucrats?

Imagine if the Trump administration reshaped American foreign policy to focus on integrating the American and Russian economies, including removing all obstacles to Russian companies to give them equal status with American companies.

Imagine Donald Trump opening immigration and visa offices in Russian cities. And speaking of Russian cities: Donald Trump is becoming an American folk hero. Publishers are translating Trump’s autobiography into Russian and he is a national celebrity.

This is the reality of Justin Trudeau and China.

There have been two investigations into China’s interference in Canada’s elections. Both came up short. “There’s nothing to see here,” they said. “Keep going.”

One of those reports was written by the man now charged with reviewing the cannabis law.

Let’s assume Rosenberg’s Cannabis Act Review is similar to his report on the 2021 election. If that’s the case, we can make some predictions.

Rosenberg Cannabis Law Review Predictions

Rosenberg's Cannabis Act Review

The legalization of cannabis in Canada was clearly about “public health and safety”. And this was recently confirmed by the Supreme Court in a ruling banning house cultivation in Quebec.

The judge said:

It is true that in everyday parlance and even in the speeches of some parliamentarians, the creation of exceptions or exemptions to a criminal offense is often referred to as a “legalization effort”… However, this language is incorrect and incorrectly suggests that positive rights have been granted to the public , which allow a certain behavior.

The legalization of cannabis was an act of the legislature. And they can take it away as quickly as they grant it.

Morris Rosenberg’s Cannabis Act Review should meet public health requirements. Imposing THC limits, banning or restricting the food market even further. Perhaps Rosenberg’s Cannabis Act Review is proposing higher excise taxes.

While Rosenberg’s cannabis law review may address the business world and economics of cannabis legalization, Canada’s cannabis connoisseurs have no reason to expect it.

Whether it’s electoral interference or using Marshal Laws to disperse a peaceful protest, Justin Trudeau’s administration is doing what it wants.

Trudeau’s government is lawless. Forget cannabis law reviews. Canadians have a moral right to flout cannabis laws.
