PornHub reveals what people watched in 2024

It's one of the top websites in the world… but what are people really looking at?

Pornhub ranks ahead in traffic with global players such as Amazon, TikTok, Wikipedia and Reddit. The adult entertainment market is expected to grow from $65.95 billion in 2024 to $93.23 billion in 2028, driven by increasing demand for personalized content and technological advancements. The US remained Pornhub's largest audience, followed by France, the Philippines and Mexico. Now Pornhub is revealing what people saw in 2024.

The most searched terms in the US were “Hentai,” “Latina,” “MILF,” “Asian,” “ebony,” and “lesbian.”. Angela White regained her place as the most searched porn star, followed by Abella Danger and Violet Myers.

“Milf” is still one of the most searched terms. A slang term used to describe an older woman, typically a mother, who is considered sexually attractive. The term was reportedly collected as a slang term at UC Berkeley in 1992 and Playboy magazine picked up the term in the mid-90s.

It's interesting how people are watching since 90.5% of global data traffic, down 1% from last year, is on smartphones. In Australia, Peru, Poland and Canada, watching old-school desktop or laptop content was most popular. Apple phone usage has dropped 27% in the last year.

On PornhubGay, the most searched terms remained similar to last year. Once again, “Twink” took first place, followed by “Anime” and then “Pinoy,” a term used for a man of Filipino descent. Oddly enough, the term “Pinay” came in at number 3 for straight and the term “Pinoy” came in at number 3 for gay.

In the US, traffic fell -33.5% on Thanksgiving Day and in Italy it fell 32.4% on Assumption Day.
