While it's not the Pineapple Express that will have you chomping at the bits of Gary Cole, this sativa-dominant CBD strain is epic in its own way.
Hats off to Oregon's Green Nursery – who grow all their flowers outdoors in the sun – for producing some of the most impeccable CBD flowers I've ever tasted. The Pineapple Express proved to be particularly sticky and resinous, with just the right amount of moisture in the tough buds.
Pineapple Express's delightful, unmistakable aroma wafts out of the bag: bold notes of pine and citrus, with a hint of candy sweetness in the mix. I felt the more sativa-like effects of the strain at first – a gentle cerebral buzz and a boost of energy. Soon, though, it transitioned into a sweet body high that relieved a lot of tension in my joints and calmed my mind. To be honest, Pineapple Express (12% CBD) left me a little more groggy than expected for about thirty minutes. It's a great choice for a relaxed hike, weekend with friends, or daytime 4/20 celebrations for those who prefer a low-THC approach.
