New steps towards medical cannabis acceptance in 2022 –

The problem with medicinal cannabis in the past has been accepting it, not judging those who use medicinal cannabis, and finding relief from its use. Fortunately, people are no longer subjected to broad scrutiny. Skeptics have opened their minds, not to mention the legalization changes that have made a difference. But the real proof is (literally) in the cannabis-infused pudding, so read on for the recipe!

The fact is, medicinal cannabis is effective and users much prefer consuming cannabis to a harsh opioid, which could come with other associated problems such as side effects or addiction. The great thing is that medical marijuana is safe, high quality, and always trustworthy. Cannabis contains more than 60 “cannabinoid” compounds that are similar to the cannabinoids naturally produced by the human body. These compounds help regulate many bodily functions, including pain perception. Users have found that cannabis helps with more than just pain. Cannabis has been shown to relieve nausea, loss of appetite, and depression, and the list goes on.

Back in January, New York City doctors finally got the green light to prescribe medicinal marijuana at their discretion. This move is a big step toward the acceptance of medicinal cannabis in 2022. This means that physicians can recommend cannabis for any condition they believe can be treated with cannabis, rather than relying on a list of specific eligible diseases or conditions leave complaints. In July 2021, the state filed a bill to create an interim licensing category for marijuana to allow farmers to begin growing and selling cannabis before the formal introduction of the adult use program. The state even went so far as to introduce legislation last month to legalize psilocybin mushrooms for medicinal purposes and establish facilities where the psychedelic can be grown and administered to patients.

As individuals learn more about the properties and effectiveness of the drug, more is constantly being done to facilitate its acquisition. In New York, too, the Cannabis Control Board has permanently waived the $50 patient fee and pushed home grow regulations. Policy changes were also made in the past year to allow medical cannabis patients in the state to grow plants for personal use. Here in Canada, getting a prescription for cannabis is a breeze. With your medical history, a family doctor can advise you accordingly. Not only to approve your prescription request, but also to advise you on the best way to consume medicinal cannabis. The best thing about medicinal cannabis, unlike recreational cannabis, is that not only is it safer and tax deductible, but it is also covered by some insurers.
