Method Man introduces the TICAL cannabis line in Colorado

Method Man – rapper and founding member of the legendary East Coast hip-hop crew of the Wu-Tang Clan – has just unveiled its TICAL line of cannabis flowers. In collaboration with Boulder-based Vera Cultivation, the start coincides with a series of Wu Tang Clan concerts in the state.

“What kind of shit are you smoking? Table, table, table “

TICAL, which stands for “Taking Into Consideration All Lives”, is a nod to the roots of hip hop culture in the early 90s. Like the man who coined the phrase on his 1994 solo album, TICAL represents a lifestyle and a philosophy. TICAL, which began selling products to illicit retailers in California in June, aims to bring more illicit ownership into the cannabis industry. “We cannot redress all the injustices that the various criminalizations of cannabis have done to our communities, but we can certainly make a down payment on the way forward with social justice, inclusion and full economic participation,” said the rapper and actor in a statement.

With the launch of TICAL, Method Man is following in the footsteps of hip hop legends who release cannabis lines. Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z and most recently Soulja Boy have all launched exclusive cannabis brands in recent years.

Today’s launch includes three new indica-dominant strains: Free Mac, Orange Cookie Kush, and Sweet Grease. Earlier varieties in small batches of the TICAL line include Gold Tang, Sweet Tarts, and Crowdwalker. Gold Tang, a Kosher Kush and Tangie hybrid, is a 60/40 light indica dominance that promises sweet citrus fruits and deep relaxation. Sweet Tarts, a cross between Lemon Skunk and Cookies & Cream, offers the perfect daily variety with 70/30 sativa dominance. Meanwhile, Crowdwalker, a potent cross between Skywalker and OG Kush, delivers a heavy indica punch at 85/15. According to the official TICAL website, each strain contains “extreme” levels of THC; two strains have a staggering THC content of almost 30 percent.

TICAL is only available from Black-owned pharmacies and businesses. Colorado residents can pick up one eighth of the new TICAL flowers from Simply Pure and WolfPac cannabis dispensaries. However, the brand plans to add more partner stores and increase production in the future. But don’t wait – all previous lots sold out within 48 hours.
