Maybe a new variant of the after-work beer? Will Monday turn green?
Monday is Monday and sometimes Tuesday is Monday in disguise, so people go home, pop a cold and relax. But now, as seen in California, the trend is for weed to replace earlier-week-election relaxation. And for many good reasons! On Monday, people go home after work (or stay home in today’s work-at-home environment) and recover from getting back to normal. People tend towards the weekend, people are having a beer or three or a glass of wine, but you know you see people taking a hit from a vape pen. And here’s why.

Marijuana doesn’t affect the next day’s work
Unsurprisingly, post-work marijuana use performed better in this study. Research on the effects of alcohol on work performance is extensive, and when comparing the data, the researchers found that heavy drinking after work negatively impacted performance in a variety of ways, including reduced productivity, poor attendance, inappropriate behavior, and poor working relationships with coworkers . They found that there did not appear to be any undue negative effects on a person’s coordination the day after ingesting weed. It turns out that an alcohol-induced hangover is a lot worse than the effects of cannabis the next day.

no hangover
A few puffs on the vape pen are a lot easier to manage than a few beers. Once the beer is open you have to drink it, when you pour a glass of wine, well you can’t just leave it. But with most cannabis, you can do a low dose and save the rest for another day. And it turns out that an alcoholic hangover is a lot worse than the effects of cannabis the next day.
And when you overindulge on a Monday, a weed hangover isn’t quite the same as that caused by alcohol. And for many, a marijuana hangover is more bearable than an alcohol-related hangover.

Less calories
Marijuana contains a small number of calories when eaten raw. However, smoking or vaping weed is a zero-calorie consumption method. Edibles have the calories of the chosen vehicle (chocolate, jelly beans, drinks, etc.).
What about the rest of the week? By Wednesday people are making plans and tend to go to parties, restaurants and bars. The weekend is full of group activities, often are places where open consumption of weed is not the norm (weeding, sporting events, live performances, etc.). The most popular day to eat in the US is Saturday. The second is Friday, the third is Sunday. Monday is the slowest day for restaurants. Americans eat nearly 30% of their meals out of the home each year.
