LOOKAH Seahorse Max | Fifth Ave Green House

How to use

The Seahorse Max Dab Pen is the latest generation of dab devices in the Fifth Ave Green House Seahorse range. Like the Seahorse and Seahorse Pro, it can be used with either quartz or ceramic tips. More on the difference between these coils later.

1. Before dabbing with the Seahorse Max, add a small amount of water to the Max Glass, just enough to cover the percolation holes.

To dab with the Seahorse Max, you must first turn on the device.

2. Remove the tip cover, and then quickly press the power button five (5) times within 2 seconds to turn the unit on.

Once the dab pen is on, you can select the temperature level.

There are three temperatures to choose from: low, medium or high – each with a different light color for identification.

3. To toggle between the three temperature modes, press the power button two (2) times within 0.8 seconds.

Low 3.2V (blue), medium 3.6V (purple), and high 4.1V (white)

The higher the temperature, the more vapor that is produced, but also the more likely you are to lose some of the flavors as terpenes.

Manual mode

1. After the temperature is selected, press and hold the power button to use the device. When the tip of the coil is hot, bring it into contact with the concentrate. A 45 degree angle between the tip and the concentrate is advisable. Please do not press the tip of the coil against a hard surface or concentrate as this may damage it. You can hold the power button to dab up to 20 seconds at a time.

Note: Please press and hold the button for 3 to 5 seconds to allow the coil to heat up before taking the first puff of a session.

Auto mode

The auto mode heats the coil to the set temperature and keeps it there for up to 30 seconds of dabbing.

1. Enter Auto mode by pressing the power button three (3) times within 1.5 seconds.

2. In automatic mode, the device preheats for up to 15 seconds, with the indicator light flashing.

3. Once the set temperature is reached, the light will stop flashing and the peak temperature will be held for 30 seconds.

4. Bring the hot tip of the coil into contact with the concentrate to start dabbing. A 45 degree angle between the tip and the concentrate is advisable.

1. To exit automatic mode, press the power button three (3) times within 1.5 seconds. The device returns to standby mode.

How to clean the Seahorse Max.

How to clean the bobbin.

To clean the coil, remove the tip cover, then turn on the Seahorse Max. Select the highest temperature setting.

Run the automatic mode 2 to 3 times on the highest temperature setting. This heats up the tip of the coil and burns off much of the remaining residue.

How to clean the base unit.

The Seahorse Max comes with a cleaning brush. To clean the base, remove the Seahorse Max glass. Unscrew and remove the seahorse’s maximum coil tip.

Apply a little alcohol cleaner to the brush and insert it through the airway. Rotate the brush to loosen and remove any concentrate build-up in the airways.

How to clean the glass.

The Seahorse Max glass is the same as the Unicorn E-Rig glass and can be cleaned in the same way.

The Seahorse glass can be cleaned like any other glass percolator.

1. Remove the glass plate from the bottom of the device.

2. Remove the glass from the magnetic ring.

3. Cover the holes on the bottom of the percolator with your hand.

4. Put some isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt into the percolator through the hole at the top.

5. Cover the percolator and shake it well for 5-10 minutes.

6. If residue is difficult to remove, you can soak the percolator in hot water or isopropyl alcohol.

7. Pour out the salt and isopropyl alcohol.

8. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Difference between the Fifth Ave Green House Seahorse Max coils

The Seahorse Max uses the same coils as the Seahorse and Seahorse Pro. There are two seahorse coils or tips to choose from: quartz and ceramic. Both types of seahorse reels are available from the Fifth Ave Green House website; You can also find them in smoke shops and online retailers.

quartz

The quartz coils are porous and usually offer the best flavor; However, because they are porous, they can easily cause damage, especially if you press on them with force. It is best to dab gently into the concentrate with the edge of the tip or apply a little concentrate to the hot tip with a swab.

Ceramics

The ceramic tips have two parallel ceramic cylinders at the end of the tip; These heat up faster than the quartz coils and tend to be more robust, but due to their rapid heating, sometimes they do not let the taste through as well as the quartz.
