Kevin Nash introduces Strain on Dispensary Tour in Michigan

Veteran pro wrestler and NWO co-founder Kevin Nash is going full throttle in the cannabis industry by releasing his own strain using the expertise of the breeders behind HYMAN Cannabis.

Nash’s new strain and collaboration were first announced at the GCW Notorious Show, E Wrestling News and Wrestling Headlines reported last January. You can hear Nash talk about the new venture on his podcast, KLIQ This.

Jackknife, (Creamsicle x Soñando), his signature strain, is the result of narrowing down some of HYMAN’s marquee genetics. Soñando has a citrus, orange and berry flavor profile and Creamsicle tastes just like you would expect. Rabid Hippie, Head Cultivator at HYMAN, oversees the Michigan-based cultivator’s 30,000 square foot canopy area.

Nash is notorious for his own versions of the jackknife maneuver. In his prime, Nash perfected the “Jackknife Powerbomb,” an improved version of a powerbomb that throws the opponent forward and then down – a way of finishing the job. But all the physical exertion involved in wrestling takes its toll, and that’s where cannabis comes in.

“My signature move: Jackknife Power Bomb, my finishing maneuver, fits my strain partnership with HYMAN cannabis as I believe it accurately reflects the strength and potency of the flower,” Nash tells High Times. “When you’re jackknifed, you’re not in control of the situation.

“Turning my pain into passion has made me very familiar with cannabis, and the only thing I find most important is the quality,” adds Nash. “HYMAN cultivators have reached a level of quality unmatched by anything else I’ve tried – everything HYMAN does is intentional and I’m excited to see what fans think when they try it.”

Nash, a six-time world champion, five-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and one as a WWF Champion, as well as a 12-time World Tag Team Champion, has taken home approximately 21 championships during his stint in pro wrestling.

You may have seen Nash in movies like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Magic Mike, John Wick, Rock of Ages, Longest Yard and Punisher (2004). Nash also played D1 college basketball for the Tennessee Volunteers. He later joined the army after seeing the movie Stripes. He was honorably discharged, which prompted him to return to basketball until a “career-ending” knee injury ended his professional athletic career.
