Jim Belushi just wants to balance his cannabis business
Jim Belushi first ventured into the cannabis industry in 2015 as a legal cannabis farmer with a 48-plant harvest.
Nowadays, the “According to Jim” star runs the 93-acre Belushi’s farm in southern Oregon, which can be seen in the three-part Discovery series “Growing Belushi”.

The series, which premiered on Wednesday August 19th, traces Belushi’s life on his cannabis farm.
The actor has also partnered with Grassroots Cannabis to launch Blues Brothers x Grassroots with the Bubba Diagonal strain – available exclusively at the Skokie pharmacy.
Belushi told Benzinga that his mission in the cannabis business is “to break even – because the purpose, the power of this plant is for the common good.”
He hopes that “Growing Belushi” will change the way the public sees the cannabis companies.

“I’m trying to create a show that educates people about the safety of cannabis,” Belushi explained.
The cannabis farmer is passionate about the medicinal benefits of cannabis after losing his brother – Animal House star and original Saturday Night Live actor, John Belushi – to an overdose.
“I believe that everyone, regardless of political affiliation, has health, trauma and family in common,” he continued, adding that “the magic in this plant can support and help all three.”

And while Belushi’s long-term plan for the farm is modest, including “getting rid of all the digger squirrels, aphids, red mites and grasshoppers,” the actor pointed out that it’s a “lifelong struggle as a farmer.” ”
“I feel like Elmer Fudd and Billy Murray in Caddyshack,” concluded Belushi.
