It’s official: New York bans Delta 8 THC products and allows hemp flowers to be sold
By Nina Zdinjak
The New York Cannabis Control Board (CCB) made it clear on Wednesday – controversial Delta-8-THC products cannot be sold, although hemp flowers are allowed. Empire State regulators also approved the sale of hemp fortified foods and beverages, Marijuana Moment reported.
Given the complexity of a legal marijuana program, New York is still in the process of figuring out what rules and guidelines are needed to make it work properly. The new rules and clarifications come often, and the state has only recently taken a really bold step to be the first in the Union to ban employers from testing most workers for cannabis and to put all rules in place on cannabis in the workplace.

The expected ban on Delta-8 THC has arrived
Among the many topics raised by the CCB on Wednesday, including advertising, labeling, packaging and laboratory testing, was the most anticipated decision on it by cannabis companies and consumers Delta-8-THC, an intoxicating component in the cannabis plant that can be converted from hemp’s CBD.
Just recently, a study showed another problem with Delta-8 products: too much mislabeling. Many argued that the mislabeling problems were just one more reason for lawmakers to ban these products, which turned out to be true in the New York case. In this way, the state has officially joined other states offering Delta-8-THC products like Texas. to forbid, Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and Washington to name a few.
