Immersive cannabis experience is coming to NYC
Immersive entertainment is new to New York and is now coming to town in the form of a cannabis pop-up.
This pop-up, known as The Stone Age, is NYC’s very first immersive cannabis pop-up and a “multi-sensory cannabis experience.” The space will occupy 9,000 square feet in a building in Chelsea and will open on September 15th. Visitors can expect
This new event is sure to bring fun and excitement to NYC as visitors to the state are thrilled with the fun and fantastic new event. It won’t be a pure cannabis recreational party, however, as there will also be serious issues to consider throughout the installation.
What exactly these eight installations will be is not yet known, but visitors will be informed shortly before the opening. According to The Stone Age Instagram, it will be “a one-stop shop for everything that’s hot in the green industry – from demos of innovative products to de-stigmatization, advocacy and more.” It will be exciting to see what exactly that means and what is being rolled out.

Immersive and inclusive
The company is also owned by women and minorities. Sasha Perelman and Elizabeth Santana are working with local and national cannabis partners for the pop-up, and the goal is to not only provide a space for fun, but also to educate the public about the new legal – or soon to be legal – substance . Education and not just entertainment and fun are central to the team.
“A beautiful cultural shift is taking place in cannabis wellness, and the need to empower and educate consumers is more important than ever. Bringing this truly unprecedented experience to New York City is not just a dream, it’s an honor, ”says Perelman. “To build on the current momentum, we’re creating inspirational designs that visitors can physically walk through and learn more about the wellness benefits and connections to the cannabis plant to better understand its healing powers.”
Additionally, the group is working with The Last Prisoner Project to try to highlight the importance of social and criminal justice reform in the cannabis industry and how cannabis prisoners, especially people of color, face the unfair effects of the drug war while others thrive . This is an important topic that the event’s founders didn’t want to overlook while focusing on curating the fun.
“This year New York legalized adult cannabis and we can’t think of a market more waiting for cannabis-inspired events than New York City,” added Santana. “Introducing a compelling and unique event like The Stone Age to town this fall feels like the perfect moment to make a strong and lasting impression.”

Perelman premiered her first immersive cannabis event called “Immersion” back in 2017. It received high praise from Rolling Stone when it showed up in California, and now fans are excited to see what happens next.
