If the FDA is unable to provide guidance on CBD, then why do we have an FDA at all?

The FDA, or Food and Drug Administration, has long been touted as the public health guardian responsible for regulating everything from the medicines we take to the foods we eat. But the reality is far from what it seems. Time and time again, the FDA has proven to be an inept and unreliable organization that is more interested in serving the interests of Big Pharma than the welfare of the American people.

Let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we? The FDA approved thalidomide, a morning sickness drug that caused birth defects, in the 1950s and 60s. The disaster was not discovered until it was too late, causing great harm to countless families. Fast forward to the ’90s, the FDA approved Vioxx, a pain reliever that was later found to cause heart attacks and strokes. These are just two examples of the many instances where the FDA has dropped the ball and put profits ahead of the people.

But it’s not just about historic failures. The FDA’s track record over the past few years is equally worrying. They have been slow to approve safe and effective drugs like medical marijuana, while allowing dangerous and ineffective drugs like OxyContin to market quickly. The opioid epidemic that has ravaged America in recent years is largely the result of the FDA’s incompetence and indifference.

In the words of Robert Anton Wilson, “The universe is a cosmic joke played on us by a universal sense of humor.” And the FDA is no exception. Its inability to effectively regulate the products we put into our bodies is a testament to the absurdity of our world.

In summary, the FDA’s history of approving dangerous drugs, blocking safe and effective treatments, and prioritizing profits over people is a clear indication of its incompetence.

One of their most recent omissions is “passing the buck” to Congress regarding providing clear rules on CBD.

That means everything will remain “as is” for now and Congress must now begin deliberating on the nature of the regulation. But isn’t it the FDA’s job to provide these regulations?

If all of this seems strange to you, don’t worry – it is!

The FDA has long played a critical role in maintaining the war on drugs by playing the “DEA and the FDA’s Catch-22.” In other words, if someone in the public eye asked the DEA to reschedule a drug on Schedule I, they would say they would need a report from the FDA first.

Go to the FDA and they will tell you – sure! We just need some clearances from the DEA. So you’re back at the DEA and you’re like, “So the FDA told me I need something from you so they can give me access… and the DEA says, ‘No problem! We just need a few studies from the FDA to give you these approvals…”

And then you realize that the War on Drugs was a corporate power play that essentially monopolized all drug manufacturing and distribution into the hands of a few megacorporations.

*cough-pfizer-cough*

The point is that the whole system is designed in such a way that it is insanely difficult to legalize drugs that would eat into Big Pharma’s profit margins, and those who dare even try to do so are met with Blackhawk helicopters and confronted by paramilitary units.

According to MJBizDaily, the reason the FDA won’t touch CBD is because it’s linked to the 2018 Farm Bill that legalized hemp. They argue that Congress would need to reconsider this bill in order for them to be able to provide regulatory oversight.

And to be fair, they’re not wrong either. The FDA cannot change laws, only Congress can. The 2018 Farm Bill made things like Delta-8 legal as long as it’s derived from hemp.

Therefore, even if the FDA says something about it, they won’t be able to do anything about it.

Here’s a snippet from the MJBizDaily article

The Farm Bill of 2018, promoted by then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and signed by former President Donald Trump, is a massive piece of legislation that covers farm subsidies, food stamps, and many other issues, and legalizes hemp production nationwide.

With that, it also heralded the CBD boom and with it the rise of novel intoxicating cannabinoids derived from hemp.

Since that time, The FDA has been notified to find out how to regulate an onslaught of products containing CBD and other hemp-derived cannabinoids.

Instead, the FDA on Thursday declined to regulate CBD products, including other dietary supplements, saying its existing regulatory framework is inadequate — and that Congress should tell the FDA what to do.

In a statement Thursday, Dr. Janet Woodcock, FDA Deputy Chief Commissioner, said the agency “concluded that a new regulatory path for CBD is needed that balances individuals’ desire for access to CBD products with the regulatory oversight needed to manage risk. ”

“The use of CBD raises several safety concerns, especially with long-term use,” Woodcock added.

“The agency stands ready to work with Congress on this matter.”

Although Woodcock did not mention other cannabinoids that have gained popularity over the last four years – including delta-8 and delta-10 THC, which can be obtained from CBD through a chemical process, as well as delta-9 THC the FDA identifies the “serious health risks” posed by so-called alternative cannabinoids and tracks reports of adverse health effects.

In other words, it took them 4 years to say they don’t have the tools or parameters to do the job required. 4 YEARS!!!!

But together with a “pandemic” with a virus with a 99.6% survivability, they can approve one refresher after another in a matter of months…

I wonder why they can approve Pharma’s drugs in a matter of months but not be able to tell Congress for four years that they can’t regulate CBD!

The idea that marijuana could reduce Big Pharma’s revenue is age-old and a classic example of the little guy defeating the big tyrant. It’s a story that has often been told in the pages of American history, and it’s a story that is currently being written in the world of medical treatment.

The folks at Big Pharma have been making tons of money for years marketing various drugs and potions that claim to treat all of your ailments. But now that this wild card, this rebel force, this green menace shows up, suddenly their earnings are in jeopardy.

Cannabis is a powerful medicine that has been used to treat a variety of diseases for thousands of years. It is a natural treatment that has been repeatedly shown to be successful in treating a variety of ailments including pain, anxiety and depression. In addition, it is a treatment easily accessible to anyone who seeks it.

So how does that affect Big Pharma’s bottom line? Simply. Big Pharma’s profits plummet when people use cannabis instead of their proprietary drugs. And that bothers her a lot.

As you can see, Big Pharma is an intricate web of interests with ties to both the highest levels of government and the dark side of business. It’s not just some faceless company. It’s a huge conspiracy aimed at crushing the underdog and keeping a firm grip on the market.

But things are changing. People are becoming more aware of the benefits of cannabis and are demanding access to it. And even the biggest companies have to be careful when the public demands something.

However, these companies continue to hold much of the market thanks to policies and practices such as the FDA’s “passing the buck.”

The truth is that every time cannabis is legalized, pharma loses billions. Millions of people could benefit from CBD, which is a truly wonderful material. However, as it’s currently in legal ‘limbo’ it can’t be widely released and investors are cautious about making purchases on the assumption that ‘what happens if the government decides it’s bad again “.

This is also the main reason why marijuana is still illegal in the US.

My friends, it’s time for the people to get past the government. We have been held hostage by a system that for far too long has been bought and paid for by the very industries it is designed to control. The government has become a tool used by the oppressors to keep the population under control and in line.

Consider Big Pharma as an example. They have dirty hands and use their influence and power to buy the support of politicians and regulators. What do you get in return? a license to do as they please, foist their drugs and therapies on a gullible populace, and blackmail them for anything they are worth.

Then what about the FDA? The very organization tasked with protecting us has failed miserably. They are so intertwined with Big Pharma that they are unable to control the regulation of something as basic and natural as CBD. They have refused to acknowledge this remarkable plant, choosing to ignore the numerous studies demonstrating its benefits.

Folks, this is the current state of our government. We are dealing with a dysfunctional system here. It’s time for us to get over it, break free of its bondage and take charge of our own lives.

I would say Robert Anton Wilson is one of my heroes. He had a unique perspective on the world and was a true rebel. He was aware that reality is dynamic and that our perceptions and beliefs can affect it. He also showed us that the only way to change the world is to change our perspective on it.

That’s why we have to do this. We must abandon the outdated paradigms and adopt a new perspective based on freedom, autonomy and self-determination. In order to create a new path, determined by our own ambitions and goals, we must reject the conventional ways of doing things.

My friends, it’s time we left the government behind. It is time we reclaimed our freedom and our power. Because we can only change if we change the world. So let’s take action, unleash the potential of our hearts and brains, and create a new reality free from the constraints of big business and the tyranny of the state.
