You also get nutrients with four stage-specific products to keep your garden well fed at every stage, from germination to seedling, vegetative and flowering. And so you can be successful right out of the box, the kit includes a pack of four Auto GSC seeds, one of the easiest and most rewarding strains to grow as a novice.

Don’t grow in the dark
You have the tools, but what now? i49 won’t let you down to figure things out for yourself. i49 provides a step-by-step growing technique for home growing, using the nutrients in the kit along with a few simple items around the home. For example, two plates, some paper towels, filtered water, and a pair of tweezers – plus Germ Genie – are all it takes to get your seeds to produce a strong taproot in just two to five days.
From there, you can plant seedlings in reused containers – like yogurt jugs – and use the Seedling Booster to strengthen your young plants. Growtime Fertilizer strengthens the roots and increases nutrient uptake during the vegetative phase. And finally, the applications of Flowertime Fertilizer and Plant Booster help to grease the buds and keep the plants healthy until harvest. The guide takes you through every step of the process, right through harvesting, trimming, drying, and curing. It couldn’t be easier.
Would you like to get an idea of how easy your first grow will be with the help of i49? Check out these 12 simple steps to a successful harvest:
The i49 breeding technique, simplified | |
Step one | Gather your supplies! (Seeds, soil, growing pots, nutrients, light, tent, fans, humidifiers or dehumidifiers, PH readers). |
Step two | Start germinating your seedlings by soaking your seeds on a paper towel with a water-hydrogen peroxide mixture (⅔ distilled water at ⅓ 3% hydrogen peroxide). Place your seeds folded in paper towels in a dark and warm place for 24-48 hours. |
Step three | Plant your seedlings in soil under 24 hours of light. You are now in the seedling stage: for the first 14 days of life, you do not need to feed your cannabis plants any nutrients as they have enough to survive and thrive on their own. |
Step four | After 14 days you will have reached the vegetative stage and it is time to feed your plants ¼ of the recommended dose of the first nutrient phase. Feed your cannabis plants every other watering and water your plants every three to five days or as soon as the soil is dry about an inch below the top layer. |
Step five | Plant your plants for at least 30 to 60 days or more and complete any necessary transplantations while your plants are growing. |
Step six | Once your plants are half the height you have available for growing space, you should flip your plants over to 12/12 when they reach 18-24 inches in height. Use the 12/12 light cycle to get your plants into bloom and after five to seven days your plants should show their sex under this light cycle. |
Step seven | Start feeding your plants heavier PK foods and shift your pH range from 5.8 to 6.1 to 6.1 to 6.3 PH aiming at 6.3 PH. You should do an absolute minimum of exercise and defoliation after the third week of flowering or day 21 – before that day you can do defoliation and various low-stress training methods. |
Step eight | Prepare your plants for high yields and a frosty harvest by lollipoping or bypassing your plants to keep all of the weight up in the canopy. |
Step nine | Once your plant is through the sixth week of flowering, use a magnifying lens or jeweler’s loupe to check the age of the trichomes. Once you are, generally 3% to 5% away from your ideal trichome area within two weeks of harvest, you should start feeding much less and possibly flushing your plants for the last two weeks to a week of life. |
Step ten | Once you’re ready to harvest your plants, it’s time to chop them up as whole plants and hang dry for 7-14 days. In general, most growers aim for a drying time of around 10 days. |
Step eleven | Curing your cannabis occurs after your buds have dried. To cure, you’ll need mason jars, 62% two-way moisture packs, and some moisture and temperature meters. Once you’ve cut your buds and sliced into jars, place a 62 percent two-way pack in your jar with your temperature and humidity reader. You will burp your glasses three times a day for the first week, twice a day for the second week, once a day for the third week, and once a day for the fourth week. |
Step twelve | After at least two weeks of curing, your buds are ready to be consumed! It is time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. All that is left is to start the process over. Have fun waxing! |
