There are many ways to resist oppression. For a long time, this act was as simple as lighting a joint and saying, “Fuck the MAN!” But as cannabis becomes more accepted around the world, this form of protest is “less effective” than it used to be.

Don’t get me wrong, we still have a lot of resistance to legalization and sparking a doob is definitely up yours! to the establishment that wants to keep your weed in the hands of drug cartels. And let’s not forget our old pal “Mr. State propaganda”.

That’s right, despite legalization efforts — the government continues to spend money on studies and “PSAs” that don’t expand the debate, but strengthen its narrative. Of course, now with the internet, people can react pretty quickly.

One of the tried and tested methods of standing up to power is ridicule. And that’s what “someone” did with PPE provided by their state police. I believe it’s the state of Oklahoma, but regardless of the state, medical cannabis is legal within its borders.

This is why the person who dubbed the footage was so personally offended when the police attempted to portray cannabis as this “threat to society”.

Today I’m proud to write about a masterpiece from Memetic Weapons that will debase the government’s infallible image and make you laugh at the same time.

At first I thought… what is this… and then I thought, “I HAVE TO WRITE ABOUT THIS!”

Taco Tuesday PSA

The video starts with a pig waddling in the mud, then a donut is picked up and finally the actual PSA comes into play. An officer standing with his hands on his hips trying to extricate himself from his clothing as the first audible words come into play….

“The number of shit cops is high! You see ineffective cream puffs like me almost everywhere! The thought of me scaring you gives me a huge boner! I am Lt. Chopperstache – Coordinator of our ‘Break the Shit Out of the Homeless’ initiative.

From this moment you are already laughing. But it’s getting better by the second.

“Like most violent pricks, our officers are mentally unhinged and ready to unleash our anger on any nearby party, particularly ‘brown people’ and if/or married to them – women – in a jiffy!

What I love about this video is the straight forward assumptions the voiceover guy makes – hitting the nail on the head every time. It’s like a combination of punches hitting her from all sides. Masterfully uncovering the “Blue Bias” towards minorities.

But as you might have guessed, this PSA is going to lean heavily towards cannabis, so let’s continue to decode the video.

“Plus, we like to hit it…that’s why we’re taking action against legal medical marijuana users in this week’s video! Though our budgets are the only thing more swollen than our fat friggin’ waists – we got nothing to do but piss off legal stoners in a legal state… so let me gamble it for you stoners…”

Get ready, it’s about to start at full throttle!

“I almost never get an erection due to my constant state of near heart failure… but the thought of forcing some goddamn laws on you – yeah, that’s definitely enough!”

Oh sweet Jesus, I’m breaking down. This is one of the funniest fonts I’ve seen in a while and just looking at Officer Pork is perfect.

“To me and my boys, that card in your pocket” referring to the medical cannabis cards, “is just a license to shoot you in the face and lie about it later…”

At this point in the video, a statistic is highlighted that states, “40% of officers surveyed said they had engaged in violent behavior toward their spouse and/or children in the past six months.”

While I’m not entirely sure where this report came from, it is certainly very disturbing that 40% (in 1991) have experienced some form of violent abuse from their family. Can you imagine what a person who would hit their wife and children would do to you for smoking weed?

Well, the guy who re-dubbed this video must have thought long and hard about it. Let us continue.

“…shoot you in the face and lie about it later – so we look like the victims in the situation.”

At this point, the voiceover perfectly matches the voice of the officer in question, and then the shit gets REAL!

“If you even think about getting depression, anxiety, suicide plans and psychotic episodes within fifty feet of me or guys dressed like me – WE KILL YOU!”

But how will they kill us, you might ask? Well, Mr. Redub has some thoughts!

“We’ll fix our khakis, murder you in front of your children, and then hold you responsible with the card in your pocket! Well, he HAS used cannabis to treat depression and anxiety – I like the sound of it…don’t you honey? **HIT!

I guess that was a call back to the statistic of the 40% of cops who beat their family. This was followed by an audible scream from what was believed to be Chopperstache’s wife.

“If you or someone you know needs help battling marijuana addiction — of course, that’s a term we just made up to discredit people whose health choices we don’t share — why not call.” that shit fucking number on the screen. Why don’t you tell your whole family too – I don’t even know what that crappy phone number is doing now – IT MAY NOT EVEN WORK – It’s just meant to look like we provide services that go beyond terrorizing people who aren’t for to be able to stand up for themselves…”

I mean, this is pure comedic gold. And now we are nearing the end of the masterpiece!

“So go ahead and call your family in… I get to beat up a poor fellow while you get the unrelenting sexual satisfaction of having a fat man in a nylon suit telling you what a good patriot you are.” Don’t forget to FUCK YOURSELF you poor piece of shit… I’m Officer Dip Shitlock of the Oklahoma Pigs and I’m reminding you that 40% is probably a lot higher because why would a cop’s wife ever be crazy enough to tell his co to report – workers?”

At this point the video ends and you are left satisfied with the wildest roast pork you have seen this year.

Why Memetic Warfare is actually effective!

Now that we’ve had the pleasure of going through the entire video, let’s talk about what this parody is actually doing in a viewer’s mind.

Firstly, the fact that you saw the parody and NOT the actual PSA means that the parody will outperform the PSA in terms of “virality” or “shareability”. This means that this “anti-message” will be seen by more people, thus reducing the impact of the anti-pig narrative.

If you saw the actual PSA, you couldn’t get the VO out of your head. It was a fun talk, at a good pace, and it touched on some really important issues. The fact that 40% of officers (in this particular study) reported having committed domestic violence themselves is something we should all be alarmed about!

Think about it, when you have people who willfully admit to beating their wives and children, how can you trust the police? The honest truth is you can’t. As mentioned in the video, the 40% is probably higher because “why would a cop’s wife report him to his fellow swine?”

In most cases they would justify it and just leave it because they are speaking out against someone who has the legal authority to throw you in jail and who historically has their “boys in blue” to support him/her , no matter what… well, that’s something we should be concerned about as a society.

Of course, I’m not saying that ALL cops are evil. Contrary to the Reddit thread, I actually know some legitimate cops who don’t like the drug war. In fact, there’s a whole community of ex-law enforcement officers fighting the ban – LEAP.

LEAP argues that bans don’t make things safer, waste police resources, and only serve to inflate the criminal market. That’s why I don’t take an uncompromising attitude towards police officers. However, I am against “pigs!” those who abuse their power, use drug laws to oppress those who cannot fight back.

Unfortunately, there are a large number of people who wear The Shield who fall into the latter category. Nonetheless, I applaud the person who took the time to shit on the PSA in such an eloquent manner. That’s what I mean when I say “Deep-Art Your Opinion!”

While the person who created this parody could easily rant on social media if they take the time to distill that rage to turn it into a well thought out work of art, millions of people will potentially see it.

This is how you win against people who take themselves far too seriously. Humor is a powerful weapon and the person who created this video is a master memesmith!
