Home decor: would you exhibit an artificial cannabis plant?

Move over Monstera, there’s a new green giant that’s sprucing up the interiors and taking the potted plant world by storm.

The potted plant is a hyper-real, man-made cannabis plant that allows people to spice up their home decor with a little Mary Jane’s influence.

Available in sizes that range from a 10-inch clone to a 36-inch full flowering mother, the plants retail from $ 25.

After all, it’s just a plant

“We have always wanted to create a brand that breaks down barriers and opens up people who were afraid of cannabis,” co-founder Karina Farris told Leafly.

Farris came up with the idea for the product in July 2019 in hopes of changing people’s perception of cannabis.

“We initially toyed with the idea of a consumer brand, but thought it would be more effective to reduce the plant completely to its true shape.”

“With Pot Plant, everyone can see cannabis for what it is – it’s just a plant.”

Farris shares that she has always had an open, positive relationship with cannabis, especially after her father was diagnosed with skin cancer a few years ago. He would make his own Rick Simpson oil to soothe his unhealthy skin cells.

Farris says the results have been incredible, and since then she and her father have been vocal advocates of the plant for both medicinal and recreational uses.

“I believe cannabis helps people heal not only physically but also mentally,” she says. “It helps me cushion a tough day, increase creativity and even help me see things more clearly for what they really are. It’s a magical thing! “

Farris and her partner grew the Lemon Haze plants used for the mold in their own backyards and said, “We wanted to do the plant justice and made the potted plant as realistic as possible.”

The couple consulted their friends who cultivate in the cannabis industry in making the prototypes for their potted plant.

“We didn’t stop with our product development until we let them be fooled,” she says of perfecting the artificial replica. “It took us a whole year to finally get our product as far as it is today.”

Farris hopes that consumers will see the potted plant like an artificial snake plant or violin fig as a home decoration and the beauty it adds to the space.

She says it’s a great statement that is sure to spark a conversation with anyone who comes to your home and hopefully help reduce the stigma associated with cannabis.

Potted plant helps de-stigmatize cannabis

“Cannabis was made as something that it isn’t,” says Farris. “It was viewed as the devil, and people were right to be afraid of it. Some still are, of course, because of this propaganda. ”

“Potted plant removes negativity and brings cannabis back to its truest form – a unique and beautiful plant.”

Pot Plant has sold more than 8,000 plants since its inception. Your customer base is widespread; from individuals to retail stores, props departments, pharmacies and more.

“Ultimately, cannabis is just another plant to be admired for its beauty. [Pot Plant] offers the opportunity to talk about a plant that is widely misunderstood. “
