Freedom Convoy Arrives In Ottawa – Latest Cannabis News Today
The 4/20 Vancouver’s Farmer’s Market is without a doubt one of the largest cannabis protests in the world. What started as a small group of protesters at the Vancouver Art Gallery has turned into a massive demonstration on Sunset Beach. What was once a protest for the right to consume is now a protest for the right to buy, sell and consume without government interference.
Vancouver Four Twenty Protest 2019
Canadians may have a reputation for being docile and obedient, but give us the right problem and we channel all the anger and defiance of the Canadian goose to ensure a just society.
That’s the feeling behind the Freedom Convoy.
It started as a protest against the Jan. 15 mandate mandating COVID vaccinations for cross-border truckers. But it has become an all-purpose protest against COVID restrictions and government spillovers into civil society. Tamara Lich, a Maverick Party official who started the GoFundMe page, says: “This isn’t just about a vaccination mandate for truckers, it’s not about COVID, it’s not about whether you’re vaccinated or not , it’s about mandating freedom.”
For months, these truckers were “essential workers” whom we considered heroes. They have been on the “front lines” of the pandemic along with the doctors and nurses. But as we’ve learned over the past year, your essential status can be revoked just as easily as it was assigned.
Many of these truckers have been crossing the border non-stop since 2020. Like many healthcare workers, many of these truckers already had COVID and with it the antibodies. Some of them may even have brought COVID to Canada. After all, a virus is a force of nature (even if man-made). Lockdowns, vaccination requirements, passports and other travel restrictions did not prevent new variants from entering Canada. What is the rationale behind this policy besides the safety theater and ensuring continued record-breaking profits for Pfizer?
It’s not like the convoy is a small group of backwoods Alberta.
This protest started in British Columbia. Like the “On-to-Ottawa Trek” from the Great Depression, these men and women make their way to Ottawa. The corporate state media is stoking fears of “right-wing extremists” making this protest part of Canada’s “6th World War”. January”. Nevertheless, the mass of truckers and their supporters cannot be wished away. In the age of social media, anyone with a smartphone can see for themselves – this convoy is huge. They have signs that say “We are not against Vaxx. We are against the mandate.”
It’s clear the COVID narrative is collapsing. Roman Baber, an Ontario politician who was kicked out of Doug Ford’s government for opposing COVID lockdowns, tweeted: “Politicians can tell where the wind is blowing. More politicians have spoken out against lockdowns and passports in the last 48 hours than in the last 2 years.”
Of course, politicians will always jump on the bandwagon when it turns out to be in their favor for re-election. Cannabis protesters know this inside and out. Governments used false experts to justify the drug war on cannabis. Now they benefit from it. They argue that production, processing and consumption can only be regulated by state bureaucracy.
That’s why our 4/20 protests have morphed into protests against the government’s overreach in the legal recreational market. You don’t have to be a cannabis expert to witness the blatant hypocrisy of government officials (and ex-cops) benefiting from legalization.
And that’s why the Freedom Convoy is important. It’s more than allowing truckers to cross the US-Canada border unvaccinated. It is about the loss of our civil liberties in the name of public health. Again, a situation that Canada’s cannabis connoisseurs are all too familiar with. #FreedomConvoy2022
