Flower Hall May 2022: This is what awaits you
Hall of Flowers Palm Springs is coming back. It’s a major trade show where hundreds of California brands come together with the state’s buyers to find the perfect harmony in store.
If you’re considering attending, here’s what you should expect from the event itself, as well as the parties and networking opportunities in the evenings.
What is the Flower Hall?
Hall of Flowers is a licensed, industry-specific, heavily curated B2B show designed to facilitate commerce between a vast network of premium licensed cannabis brands and retailers. It’s pretty much a big fair for these brands to get their best weed into the faces, noses, and lungs of the state’s largest (and smallest) pharmacy shoppers.
Buds, dabs, edibles, pre-rolls, tinctures – the full range will be showcased. I went to my first one last November and it was definitely unlike any type of weed event, festival or fair I’ve attended before. It’s a great networking opportunity for people in the industry as everyone you only know via email gets together under one roof in the same city for a few days.
What to expect at the Hall of Flowers this May
The Hall of Flowers Palm Springs will take place on May 4-5, 2022. At the event itself, you can expect weed and people – people selling weed, people buying weed, people smoking weed. You can get eighth samples there for about $3. It’s pretty wild to witness and participate in because this is California’s finest weed. That being said, the purpose for brands is to do business to get into dispensaries so they can sell that weed at its true market value.
After the event is over for the day, there is usually a plethora of after parties. Here are some of the events that will take place during the opening.
May 4th – Wednesday
blender by dr. Greenthumbs and High Hopes
Time: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PDT
Location: dr Greenthumbs Cathedral City Pharmacy and Lounge
the dr Greenthumb’s x High Hopes Mixer features strain drops and samples in the Dr. Greenthumb’s premier Cathedral City Dispensary & Lounge. Guests can expect fantastic food and entertainment courtesy of B Real from legendary hip-hop group Cypress Hill.
The event will host a State of Cannabis panel which can be viewed on BReal.TV. Special guests include System of A Down’s Shavo Odadjian and his 22Red brand, and Slipknot’s Clown and his Heavy Grass brand.
In addition to entertainment and panels, there will be a joint rolling bar featuring Cali-X’s Zlime flower and a dabbing bar hosted by Buddies.
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU: Star Wars themed party hosted by Hazy and HERBL
Time: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM PDT
Location: Superbloom Studios
MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU is a Star Wars themed event for buyers and budtenders. Guests are encouraged to show up in costume or Star Wars clothing. Hosted by Hazy, the events company, and HERBL, the distribution company, it is billed as “the perfect night for budtenders and buyers to come together, strengthen culture, create a night of fun and build a sense of community in the industry.”
There will be music, cannabis, games, drinks, burgers and good times. Event sponsors include Jungle Boys, dosist, Friendly Farms, Glass House Farms and many more.
High on Life by Farechild Events, Canna Management Group and Hush Canna Brand
Time: 5:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. PDT
Location: The Saguaro Palm Springs Hotel
At the last Hall of Flowers event, Farechild’s Zodiac party was pretty cool. This May they are hosting an event called High On Life. It’s a hotel takeover with live music, art and lots of good vibes. It’s also a launch party for Liquid Culture Records.
Poolside performances include the likes of Nutritious, Jeremy Sole and Eric Tucker. There will also be live art by Emily Eizen. This will definitely be the one where everyone closes the night. Sponsors include Ispire, Floracal Farms, TONIK, Zippo and many more.
