She entered the mainstream with her third studio album “Cuz I Love You” in 2019 and has been causing a stir ever since. She has redefined the standards for what a female music star should look and act and has been the subject of ongoing pushback. All of this makes you wonder if Lizzo uses weed to relax. She has attracted legendary fans called Lizzbians, a number of social media trolls and Grammys, BET Awards, Billboards Awards and appearances on SLN, Ugly Dolls, Hustlers and more. She experienced another wave of popularity when she featured an original single titled “Pink” in the Barbie movie.

She started her career in hip hop music. After recording a few studio albums, she signed with Nice Life Recording Company and Atlantic Records and released Coconut Play. The album spawned the singles Juice and Tempo. The deluxe version of Cuz I Love You reached the top of the US Billboard Hot 100 and became the longest-charting solo song by a female rapper. In 2021, Lizzo released the single Rumors (featuring Cardi B), which debuted in the top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100. Her fourth studio album, Special (2022), was preceded by the lead single “About Damn Time,” which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and made Lizzo the first black singer since Whitney Houston in 1994 to win the Grammy Award Record of the Year won.
Like everything in her life, she seems to have no inhibitions about marijuana use. She shares on Instagram that she fan-consumes and treats it the same as drinking wine. She even made cheeky remarks about her use, tweeting tongue-in-cheek about marijuana suppositories.

Lizzo grew up in the Church of God in Christ, but has since adopted a more open concept, singing hip-hop mixed with soul and blues. Lizzo, who is so open about herself and her weed use, is similar to the late Mama Cass, who honed her talent, her fun, and what it means to be a celebrity.
