Did UFOs Cause the FBI to Almost Cancel the X-Files?

Aliens and UFOs are in the news. The government opens files and theoretically publishes information about it unidentified abnormal phenomena (UAP). Did UFOs Cause the FBI to Almost Cancel the X-Files? Military officials say they believe the government knows a lot more about UFOs than it tells the public.

A subcommittee on oversight of the House of Representatives held a hearing on UFOs — officially known as unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAPs — and heard mysterious testimony about unexplained object sightings and the government’s possession of “non-human” biological matter.

Committee members were stunned by some testimonies and repeatedly noted that UAP sightings raise bipartisan concerns and national security issues. Separately, some have accused the federal government of trying to hide important UFO-related information from the public, but have not produced any evidence to back up these claims.

While this cult show is considered science fiction, showrunner and creator Chris Carter explained that in 1993, when the show was about to air, the FBI was really concerned about its content and made him a very strange and paranoid phone call.

About the Huffington Post:

“I can tell you this: When I wrote that [1993] Pilot, I called the FBI to do some research, and while they were nice, they didn’t really give me time. Then all of a sudden, as we were about to air, the FBI called and said, “Who are you and what do you do?” And for a second I thought it was the long arm of the law shutting me up would.”

Carter explained that after that phone call, he somehow became close to the FBI agents who were known to be unofficial fans of The X-Files. When it comes to his experiences with the supernatural, Carter claims that while he’s never seen a UFO or experienced an alien visit, he still wants to believe in it. Very cute, but do aliens really exist or not? just tell us
