Davos 2023: Psychedelics & Cannabis
The World Economic Forum (WEF) met in Davos for its 2023 event. This annual gathering of elite billionaires, political leaders and business moguls has become a rite of passage in the world order.
The WEF is a supranational organization. Undemocratic and without power limitations. So? Says the skeptic. It is an international business conference. What’s the big deal?
But it’s more than that. Klaus Schwab, the Swiss-German university professor who initiated the Davos meetings, has spoken openly about his influence.
The WEF has a Young Global Leaders program. Alumni include Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel, Justin Trudeau and Jacinda Ardern.
We are proud of them all.
Klaus says, “What we’re very proud of … is that we break into government cabinets around the world. When Klaus made that comment, half of Trudeau’s cabinet were WEF stooges. I’m sure after Justin’s purge of the old guard Liberals it’s more than half now.
Klaus and the Davos elite speak of “public-private partnerships” which are essentially economic fascism. And that’s not a guess. Larry Fink was in Davos this week. He is also on the Board of Trustees of the WEF. Fink is CEO of BlackRock, which controls $10 trillion in global assets.
Klaus, Fink and the Davos elite are quite open about their vision. They use wokeism and government power to “enforce behavior” because what they have decided is the common good.
Davos 2023: A threat to the world
Davos 2023
Suppose Canada is the poster child for the “post-national” world of the WEF. In this case, there is a risk of freezing bank accounts for peaceful protests or losing jobs because of personal medical decisions.
And of course the big banks and pharmaceutical companies also belong to the Davos elite. Banks profiting from the waste of resources and pharmaceutical companies profiting from our disease.
This is where psychedelics come in. Psychedelics took center stage this week in Davos at a parallel event to the WEF. For a second year, the Davos House of Health focused on psychedelics as medicine.
One of the panels, How to Save the World: Investing in Health and the Advancement of Human Consciousness, claims to offer opportunities for investors and philanthropists.
This is roughly how the attitude of the Davos elite can be summed up. Why legalize psychedelics when you can invest, patent and profit?
What about cannabis?
Cannabis was once a huge hit in Davos. In 2019 and 2020 there was a “cannabis house” with CEO talks. Lectures such as “Cannabis in the Capital Markets – What’s Next?” or “The Next Emerging Markets for Cannabis – Navigating Asia and Latin America”.
So more of the same. Nothing about liberalizing the herbs, mushrooms and mushrooms that help heal. It’s about financing capital.
And just so we’re clear, that’s not honest entrepreneurship in a free market. This kind of capitalism is about as open and free as Canada’s legal cannabis market. In doing so, Big Weed ensures that they retain their monopoly position in the developing world.
For centuries only elites had wealth. With the advent of the Industrial Revolution, purchasing power shifted to the masses. The middle class emerged.
So the elites used globalization to rob and decimate the middle class. In doing so, they have enriched themselves with fraudulent contracts with Third World dictatorships.
This is what makes the supporters (or the apathetic) of Davos and the WEF so angry.
Why should we entrust those who have benefited from the system with the task of reforming it? They became rich and powerful through the status quo. You will not “reset” it. They will continue to centralize power and wealth in their own hands.
A Big Reset Conspiracy Theory?
But that’s all conspiracy theory, isn’t it? Never mind that Klaus Schwab has written a book titled COVID-19: The Great Reset, in which he argues that the COVID pandemic has created a “unique window of opportunity” for global elites to “change the direction of economies, the priorities of societies, the nature of business models and the management of a global commons.”
The WEF announced: “To improve the state of the world, the World Economic Forum is launching The Great Reset initiative.
The WEF and Davos elite is about the merging of corporate and state power. They want governments to “work with traditional and social media companies” to “fight misinformation and disinformation” and ensure “fake news is quashed.”
And apparently these “false messages” include every contradiction to their “shared vision”.
Do you find it alarming that elite corporations are entering the real estate market and buying houses en masse to rent? What should the little one do? What chance do they have against Larry Fink’s investment companies that have billions of dollars at their disposal? (Not to mention the greater political influence).
Maybe you’re a young adult trying to start a family and the Davos elite have bought up every house in your town. And then they tweet this by 2030: “You won’t own anything. And you will be happy.”
What the hell are you supposed to think of that? Regardless, they claimed this was to show “where we could be going” and not intended as “utopia or a dream for the future.”
I am sure that Woodrow Wilson did not intend the deaths of hundreds of millions in World War II and the Holocaust. But that was the result of the United States entering World War I.
This is what makes the Davos elite so dangerous. It doesn’t matter if they’re real Bond villains or well-intentioned idiots. The result is the same.
Poverty for us, riches for them. bondage for us, freedom for them.
Why we need a great reset
Klaus Schwab and his Davos cronies are calling for a “Great Reset of Capitalism”. And you know what? You’re right. If you define capitalism as the current system with its “public-private partnerships”, fiat currency, excessive taxation and bloated regulatory bureaucracies, then yes we need a big reset.
The problem is, these elite billionaires have been in charge for decades. They’ve had ample time to do a “big reset,” but all they’ve done is concentrate more wealth and power in their hands.
The “Great Reset” is more of a marketing gimmick. Designed to convince the average citizen that the elite of Davos are truly on your side. That their interests are your interests.
It’s propaganda, pure and simple. Why would you trust those who have benefited from the system to reform it?
View the themes of the Davos conferences over the years. “Reshaping the World”, “Shaping a Global Architecture”, “Shaping the Global Agenda”, “Making a Difference”, “Building the Network Society”, “New Direction for Global Leadership”. Or, after the financial crisis of 2008, “Shaping the Post-Crisis World”.
You could create a name generator for the Davos Conference simply by combining transitive verbs with nouns.
The truth about Davos and the Great Reset
The truth about the Great Reset is that there is no such thing as a great reset. It’s just the same concentration of power and wealth in the hands of Davos’ elite.
Despite all their conferences and goals to “reshape” the world, they:
- Haven’t predicted or stopped a financial crisis since the WEF was founded in 1971.
- Couldn’t stop the Wuhan virus (although they warned about a pandemic just before the pandemic, they didn’t tell us about their gain-of-function research).
- They couldn’t stop the Russian invasion of Ukraine (they even invited Putin to speak in 2021. So much for cooperation).
- Failed to predict or stop domestic opposition to their power (e.g. Donald Trump presidency, Brexit, Sri Lanka, Freedom Convoy, etc.)
Despite their grand proclamations and their supposed power over the masses, they fail to grasp Hayek’s pretense of knowledge.
All human action is necessarily economic. We live in a world of scarcity. You might think that putting “dollars and cents” on everything is barbaric, but that’s like refusing to do basic math when budgeting. Or ignoring the laws of gravity, like building a rocket.
You can ignore the casually realistic laws of human action, but there are consequences.
The Davos elite believe they can use central planning and intervention to predict and control social, political, and economic outcomes. But the complexity of human affairs makes this impossible for a single person or group.
Not even the most advanced algorithm knows how to make accurate predictions. And attempts to do so lead to unintended consequences.
Only individuals can make decisions. Decentralized, market-based approaches to our problems are the way of humanity.
Why the Davos elite need psychedelics and cannabis
Research suggests that psychedelics can positively affect a person’s outlook and behavior. Some studies find that psychedelics lead to increases in openness and decreases in authoritarianism and aggression.
People who take psychedelics may be more likely to have a greater sense of empathy and connection with others.
Psychedelics are a promising therapeutic area, with some using LSD or psilocybin to treat depression, PTSD, and substance addiction problems.
Someone stabs the water in Davos. And while you’re at it, make sure you send Putin and Xi on an intra-worldly journey.
Meanwhile, legalize psychedelics. Not like the elites did with cannabis. Liberalize psychedelics. Make them as legal as potatoes.
Nothing says you’re in it just for the money like going to Davos and attending a Psychedelic Discussion alongside the World Economic Forum.
If you really cared about ending suffering, you wouldn’t be rubbing elbows with Klaus Schwab.
