Cookies’ London Pound Cake # 75 Review

It had been a minute since I smoked something like Cookies’ London Pound Cake # 75.

A smarter guy than I once said, “Sometimes you hit the weed and, well … sometimes you hit the weed.” At the beginning of 2020, I made a conscious change to my consumption habits, from strong joints, frequent dabs and vape carts to Rolls with flowers and hemp with low THC content and occasional consumption of 10-20 milligrams of gummy bears. As a heavy consumer, I knew it was time to make my habits more conscious and tactical in order to regain a broader, more nuanced relationship with the plant – and I did.

Now, when I occasionally squeeze a blunt or do a high quality dab or roll with a more potent strain of premium bud, I’ll get a lot more of it than when I was indiscriminately consuming lots of THC-rich stuff.

London Pound Cake # 75 isn’t the top performing variety of cookies, but neither is middles. As I mentioned above, it had been a while since I found something like this before trying some LPC # 75 for this review. Every type of cookies I have ever smoked has been an unforgettable adventure in terms of taste, color, aroma and excellent vibes. Since its inception, the Cookies brand has virtually reimagined the California cannabis market by turning enthusiastic fans into devoted hype beasts and achieving a lifestyle brand presence that most other cannabis companies dream of. As always, the real question is whether the product lives up to the hype.

In my experience, the answer has always been yes, and an eighth of London Pound Cake # 75 is an equally good example of what cookies do best.

First impressions

The first thing you’ll notice about the LPC # 75 packaging is the Queen Elizabeth’s face framed in Cookies’ signature shade of blue. The English “£ 75” banknote design is sleek and stylish.

The back label with potency and batch information is clear and the seal is sturdy without being too difficult to open after reclosing. Weedmaps’ listings put an eighth from LPC # 75 to $ 60, which is more expensive than your average eighth but not outside the range of reasonable top-shelf price tags in Southern California.

Try London Pound Cake # 75

LPC # 75 is a phenotype of Cookies’ original London Pound Cake, a strain with genetics held close to the brand’s iconic vest. What we do know is that this is an indica-dominant hybrid that includes Sunset Sherbet in its lineage.

Aroma

My eighth LPC # 75 had a distinctive, pitch-perfect aroma of deep cherry citrus with a hint of diesel and a pinch of pine. Right off the bat, this strain will appeal to those who like Skunk flowers and those who are more attracted to berry or fruit flavors.

Look

Each vigorous bud that gives the signature look of the strain the strain is known for: thick, forest green leaves covered in sticky, glittery trichomes and distinctive orange scar hairs. It’s a lovely looking nug that immediately stands out in the crowd. Most of the buds in my eighth were also reasonably firm and springy, which indicated the right amount of moisture for smooth ignition.

taste

My original plan for this flower was to put it in a dried flower vaporizer to get a strong sense of the flavor profile before rolling a joint and going to the beach for smoking and walking.

This bud tests at 25% THC, considerable, but certainly not at 30% +, so I figured I’d top both off best. The first thing I noticed after taking a puff out of the vape was that the taste was less pine and lemony and more skunky with a strong hint of dark berries – more indica than sativa, from what my weed lizard brain thought it was is an “indica”. tastes like.

effectiveness

After taking a few puffs from the vape, I lost myself already high and skipped my plans to roll an entire joint with this bud.

The sneaking act was quick and curled up in a soft, warm blanket. It started hard in the back of my head and rolled over like a haze helmet forming over my skull and eyes. In just a few moments it all came out strong and serene like the slow, melodic roar of a Velvet Underground song.

Experience

When I made my way to the boardwalk, a thin cloudy sky and a light wind had just settled over the beach. The fading afternoon glow brought the whole scene into a hazy room. The hum of my surroundings increased my head noise, which was complemented by an increase in body relaxation – especially in my back and shoulder muscles.

June Gloom has never felt so good.

Bottom line

Cookies London Pound Cake # 75 is a great evening or weekend spot whether you’re settling down at home or rolling to a patio bar or intimate gathering. I can’t remember the last time I had such a thick but well-rounded high from just a few puffs from a vape. It’s been a smooth top-to-bottom sail while still packing the punch you want to send off into green hyperspace.

If you’re just a fan of awesome, indica-dominant weed, but also appreciate a well-rounded, flavorful smoke, LPC # 75 will knock your socks off. It has pretty much everything you would expect and want from the cookies experience: horny, potent, instantly chilled, and turns the world around you into a hazy, mellow party.
