Cannabiz media have been pursuing all regulated cannabis shops for 10 years. We started with cannabis licenses and then added hemp when this segment began to grow. We have supplemented them with non -licensed companies and recently smoke and vape stores in which a large part of products are sold.

Fast lead on 2025 and states are now license transactions that sell the drinks, and cannabiz media contain these licenses on our platform. As we saw with early cannabis programs, each state creates its own adventure. With increasing beverage sales, consumers, supervisory authorities and MSOS have taken note of. In the following you will find our observations about what happens in some states, issue the licenses or accept registrations.

background

As with cannabis, every state pursues its own approach. At one end of the continuum is California, which has implemented a complete ban on hemp products that contain any THC. In the middle we have states such as Missouri, Connecticut and Georgia, who have chosen more comprehensive regulation. And in Minnesota we find a very expansive program with which the drinks can be sold in addition to alcohol in different locations. And of course there are many companies with online sales that continue to affect these government -licensed companies.

A very interesting non-regulator data point revolves around the staff. Green Thumb Industries has just released a VP of beverage steering roles with a salary area of $ 200 to $ 230,000. In addition, you have more than a dozen other beverage attempts, including branded territory managers to concentrate on states such as Georgia, Florida, Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. The focus on these conditions is certainly intended, since the regulatory framework will help to support their growth goals for drinks. Other MSOS do not signal the same types of settings.

Here the summary of several remarkable conditions on a continuum from Draconian to light regulation.

California

The regulations published on September 24, 2024 by the California Ministry of Public Health Level of the entire -THC or other intoxicating cannabinoids.

This approach has caused a lot of heartburn for the industry. In the top states that send or planning to send to Minnesota, California is at the top. I am sure that lobbying is going to solve some of these restrictions.

Missouri

Missouri tried to ban these products, but according to Green Market Report, the legislators are considering that Hemp remained derived drinks in spirits shops and at the same time postponing eating goods and vapes in pharmacies. According to the local press, the hemp industry has every time the legislator in Missouri has proposed laws on the ban on products for the ban on products in recent years.

Products such as Delta-8 THC drinks can currently be bought everywhere from bars to cafés across the state.

Regulation according to the fact is always a challenge, since consumers do not like that their decisions are reduced.

Connecticut

The nutmeg state has around 1,300 “package transactions” (retail fluid companies), and after a few lobby and exhaustion, the Department of Consumer Protection in Connecticut has found a number of rules with which they can sell low THC drinks. So far, 423 are designated to participate in this activity. In addition to pharmacies, this is the only other channel in which you can buy the drinks in Connecticut.

If the drinks are made in Connecticut, they can be delivered to the state without a special license. Those who want to send from other countries must rely on the existing alcohol infrastructure. From the map below from the Cannabiz Media Business Intelligence platform, we can find that most 169 cities in the state give appropriate reporting.

Georgia

As of January 31, 2025, Georgia granted 3,652 retail licenses with a further 1,875 retail licenses, which either wait for payment or revision. These licensed retailers can sell consumable hemp products, the OCGA 2-23-1 ff. And Ga. Comp. R. & Regs 40-32 and otherwise compliant drinks are not prohibited. The comprehensive approach in the state will probably contribute to a robust market – and this can be confirmed by the focus of the Green Thumb.

Minnesota

In Minnesota, legislators passed the law 151.72, which enables the sale of hemp-unable cannabinoid products. This legislation paved the way for the sale of hemp -derived drinks in all possible retail stores. Over 4,499 companies have registered for this program, including outside of state companies that are or are sent to the state. Here are the companies that have registered for more than 10 locations:

And here are the states with most companies that are sent to Minnesota:

Minnesota's approach is unique and is observed by the regulatory authorities and other industry participants, since the drinks and the possibility of selling them hug.

Diploma

Cannabiz media will continue to pursue the introduction of these programs, licenses and data if the state supervisory authorities endeavor the opportunities and chaos to do this. Switch back to Cannacurio while we treat this during 2025, and I also recommend reading the Tyler Klima's THC beverage market checked in this area of the Delta Emerald Group.
