Cannabis Justinflation – Cannabis News, Lifestyle
Urban Dictionary defines justinflation as “When a politician or government is not thinking about monetary policy; and believes the budget will balance out.”
The name comes from Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. In 2015, with no excuse of recession or pandemic, it plunged Canada’s finances into the red after nearly two solid decades of budget surpluses.
When asked about it, he said (and this is an actual quote), “The commitment must be a commitment to grow the economy and the budget will balance itself.”
Translation: I have taken more than half of your income in some cases, but I expect you to invest and create with the remaining capital. In the meantime, I will use the looted half to make it harder to invest and create in this country.
The left loves this approach. Instead of the so-called gruesome act of cutting government benefits and spending, expect rising revenues as the economy grows “from the heart out.”
And yes, that’s another recent quote from Justin Trudeau.
Who is Justin Trudeau?
Justin Trudeau is a trust fund beneficiary with no financial experience. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was a snowboard instructor and acting coach. He worked part-time as a teacher at a private school in British Columbia, where the Chinese elite sent their children. He was fired from that job because of a sex scandal (possibly involving a minor) and had to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Justinflation results from a publicly educated populace believing that “we” are the government. Justin Trudeau hails from corporate media favorably marketing a famous surname tied to someone with zero qualifications.
This is how the cannabis record was mistreated from day one. Justin just said, “We’re going to legalize it,” at a campaign stop in BC. Then he won in 2015. So he put a former cop in touch with legalization and walked away.
The result was a bloated, asset-intensive corporate system. Cannabis flowers are irradiated, and on more than one occasion producers have been caught spraying illegal pesticides on their plants. Instead of legalizing artisans in British Columbia, Justin’s liberal government called them criminals and refused to listen to them.
But these people were the real experts. They made BC Bud world famous. Even today, many of them are priced out of the licensed producer system. The barriers to entry are too high. There is no support for BC Bud in Justin’s legalization.
When will they flatten this curve?
Who is to blame for just inflation?
Justinflation pours gasoline on the fire. Inflation is the result of the central bank. Far from remaining “independent,” these anti-democratic institutions have always been political. Justin Trudeau would not have been able to manage these deficits without the Bank of Canada acting as his personal ATM.
But Justin Trudeau doesn’t think about monetary policy. Indeed. He admits that. It’s a quote.
He said (emphasis added): “When I think of the biggest and most important economic policy this administration would advance if re-elected, you will forgive me if I don’t think of monetary policy. You will understand that I am thinking of families.”
Justinflation is the result of Justin Trudeau’s incredible stupidity.
Families struggle with the cost of living. Medical cannabis patients must choose between paying rent or being able to afford their medication. And since cannabis law conflates medical patients with recreational users, the high cost of edibles and oils hasn’t been considered.
This has everything to do with monetary policy.
But it’s also the fault of individual Canadians who seem to have no inner voice and only parrot the narratives given to them by mainstream media. Justin Trudeau keeps winning elections.
The media are also to blame and deserve every loss of readers and viewers. If they are serious about stopping misinformation, then most of them should resign and apologize to the nation.
Cannabis justinflation can be fixed. But first things first: Justin Trudeau has to go.
