Now that cannabis is legal we can look back and laugh at the madness of the past. We stoners have participated in some weirdos, some of us more than others. Take, for example, the lengths we’ve gone to be baked. The cannabis community has not always been privileged by today’s innovation. There was a time when selling cannabis paraphernalia could get you in trouble. To mix it up, you had to get creative.

Just for the laugh, take a walk back in time and see if you can solve this crossword puzzle. These questions are for serious stoners, but don’t feel bad if you don’t know the answer. In this case, it’s not the worst thing in the world.

Hint # 1

Hot knives are the old school smoking method. It was a common way to smoke hash or oil, but you could also smoke hot knife flowers. Today we replaced hot knives with electric nails and quartz crackers. Using an oven element, heat the ends of two butter knives and layer the hash in between. Many people cut off the end of a bottle to catch all of the smoke – those with experience simply hold the knife near their mouth. Needless to say, accidents happened a lot. Thanks to this method, there were many burns on the face in the form of butter knives.

Clue # 2

Apple pipes are a classic for every stoner in need. To make one, start with a small pipe through the apple, one side for your mouth and the other as a bowl. Then carve a little more space for your buds to sit down and soak up as much apple juice as possible. Put your bud in the hole, light it and inhale. The best thing about an apple pipe is that it is edible; If you get a bad case of dry mouth, bite your side.
