Can Cannabis Help Cure Cancer?
While there is still not a single recognized and approved cure for cancer, there are many treatments available to help people fight it off. This, of course, depends on the type, stage of discovery, the general health of the patient, and many other factors, some of which are likely to be unknown.

A new study conducted by doctors at Hadassah Medical Center brings light of hope to those suffering from breast cancer. Research found a six-fold improvement in breast cancer cell killing when using certain Cannabotech medicinal cannabis products in combination with standard oncology treatments and drug protocols – chemotherapy, biological, and hormonal – over existing treatment.
Cannabotech is an Israeli biotech company that develops medical products based on cannabis and mushroom extracts. The CannaboBreast product line is based on a unique combination of cannabinoids and terpenes from the cannabis plant.
The study
The study showed that combining certain cannabinoids with standard chemotherapy improved cancer cell killing effectiveness six-fold compared to existing treatments, from 10% to 60% of cancer cell mortality.
In addition, research has shown that there is potential to also improve the effectiveness of breast cancer cell killing while minimizing chemotherapy doses, which is particularly important for patients who cannot get standard cancer treatment due to severe side effects .

“This is a significant milestone on the way for Cannabotech to become a leader in integrative medicine,” said CEO Elchanan Shaked in a press release. “The integrative products developed by Cannabotech are intended for use in combination with chemotherapy for several types of cancer and are due to hit the market in Israel and the US in the second half of 2022. Cannabis industry.”
Prof. Tami Peretz, a senior oncologist who worked on the study, added, “A significant proportion of active cancer patients are currently being treated with cannabis in parallel with conventional treatment. The integrative products developed by Cannabotech are characterized by the fact that they are developed according to standards similar to those of the pharmaceutical industry and combine several active ingredients. “

This treatment is expected to be commercialized in the second half of 2022.
